Denied [Suggestion] Making main server spawnshops fair game.

Personally I think it’s more fair if there are auctions. Because say if someones 2nd row shop is lost as they forgot to renew it then someone else picks it up straight away that doesn’t give people on other time zones a chance to pick it up through means of an auction like there is atm.

Also I’m not sure it will make people buy 4th or 5th row shops more either as everyone knows that first and second rows will still be more popular. And I can’t get online to check atm so I could be wrong about this; but from what I recall the majority of the first and second even third rows have owners they’re just not used purely because the market is dead. And I don’t think it’s dead because of the auctions or people using the first and second rows as a status symbol as iirc the first and second rows all have functioning shops (don’t quote me on this because I’m not completely sure and I can’t check either)

The market is dead because people can build huge shops 50 times the size of the markets plot size in their towns without having to pay a weekly fee and having no size restrictions, not because of auctions. People would just apply for first and second row shops then people who want them would just pay their millions to the player to buy it off them rather than the money being taken out of the economy completely, then they would just sit on the shops like they do now, nothing would change really.

Also if this was the case the people who own the first second and third row shops right now won’t just all forget to stop renewing their shops, so maybe there would be one shop a year come up to be available.

I don't think making it a snipe contest puts people on an even ground either, just instead of money it's based on available time.

If we were trying to make it accessible the best option would be open the desired shops up for a lottery - everyone who wants the shop can throw their hat into the ring.

 

I won't be changing things with the main server's market place right now. This is a far future project that we may take up eventually. It would include completely revamping the whole idea of the market on main.
