Accepted [Suggestion] Lower Town Transfer Application Cost

I like the idea to lower the cost, but 50k is simply too low. It should cost at the minimum, the amount it took to make the town (mayor price)

I suggest the price being dropped to 125k

Agree, but not to the price suggested. around 100k as David said.

+1 I have been waiting 2 years to transfer a town but have held off because it is too much money to simply transfer ownership of one town after already been claimed through contract and such.

 

+1 I agree it should be 100k, I refuse to get towns through buying res mayor or buying someone else's town claim as I want to make sure I'm original owner and it is just cheaper to buy an additional town.

The thing is, you want this to incentivize people transfering towns. This, in turn, takes more money out of the economy. When you purchase mayor off someone you pay 85k. Nobody is going to pay another 125k just to buy a pvp arena or town warp, they'll just get the original owner to do it. 50k is much more feasible.

+1 but I like 50k. Let's keep in mind this is IN ADDITION TO any money someone paid for mayor or to purchase a town, it's not like they're getting off with a steal here. This is basically just bureaucracy why should it cost so much? Even 100k while miles better, seems excessive. Getting more money out of the economy as well as making a lot of things simpler as far as filing for town features or putting your town next to someone's who's original owner has gone inactive shouldn't cost that much at all.

Well as a person who does in fact file town transfers (I've payed for 2/4 so far) I'm not without bias.... but I do think this suggestion has some merit.

It all comes down to the worth of original ownership. I don't think it should cost more than mayor, since mayor comes with a town that you name, get to place, and get original ownership over.

Sure, you might buy a town of of a resident in exchange for the rank and get to decide all this, but you don't get original ownership. You have to pay extra for that.

I do believe the cost should be lowered, but idk what it should be (I mean.... I'm bias so don't ask for the price I'd want )

 

They shouldn't because then it would be simply to cheap, appling for Mayor is 85k so if it was under it would to easy to apply for a town transfer, that would make it 5x new town transfers = 1 old town transfer,

And also, there had to be a reason for the price to be so high back then

 

Just because there may have been some now inscrutable reason the way things were that we can no longer even remember doesn't mean we should just leave it that way out of superstition.

Having it cost less than being mayor doesn't some how devalue getting mayor, getting mayor you get a lot more for that price, as Imaginex mentioned, you get a town you place, name, AND have original ownership over. If you're using logic then becoming original owner of an existent town which you are not placing or naming it should HAVE to cost less than getting mayor because a town transfer is simply a lot less value. It is simply giving you more rights to a town which you have already acquired, either by purchasing it already, buying someone else mayor, or by a long process of eventually acquiring it as last active mayor. So this in no way challenges ranking to mayor, this is simply the cost of a bit of bureaucratic process on top of the money or time that a player has already spent acquiring a town.

 

But it's not like people only apply for town transfers. 95% of the time when someone transfers a town it's because they're going to buy another town feature too. So more money right there.
