name: chemical_death14 proposal: a chat log outside of minecraft accessible to anyone to allow people who have trouble posting screens, taking screens, or not taking screens of scams before the chat is erased at the top of the log. reason: sometimes the chat will move to fast for screens to be taken of chat coherently or a scam would be realized after the chat has left the log and is unrecoverable in regular minecraft. a exterior chat log would allow someone to search by time particular sections of chat to file a small and coherent complaint
The vast majority of trades/agreements are completed via PM, a public external chat log wouldn't cover private messages between players so the number of cases which this would actually help is probably not that high. At the moment, the most senior handful of staff have access to the server logs although these aren't used for complaints as it is a player's responsibility to get sufficient evidence of an agreement. I appreciate that as a non-donator this is not possible for you, but what I tend to do if I need to screenshot an agreement/trade is to leave all the chat channels and turn off sg/lottery messages. That way the only things in chat are what you want to screenshot. Alternatively, why not write a forum contract? That is the most secure and definitive way to conclude an agreement.
I don't believe this has been suggested in the past, but, it wouldn't be allowed to be used as evidence as it is easily editable. Here is the rule from the wiki:
