Reason: This will help mayors spot griefers, make it easier for SuperMods to do grief reports as there will be a higher chance of the culprit being caught, and so forth. +2000 I've had more than 6 players that have griefed my town. Many times, the logs were too old so the culprit got away with it. Even if it was extended to a week and a half. That be great!
If this is feasible, it's a great idea. Mayoring a good town is hard, and nothing is more dispiriting when some [self-edit] griefs it. Tagging them for it more than makes up for it, and anything that helps that work is good. Before I give my opinion on this, I have a question about LogBlock Logging resets. Scenario: Say they get reset on Sunday. Will block logs from the Friday still be on the system? or will only logs that are 7 days old be cleared, ie. from the sunday before?
If the griefers know that the logs get reset on Sunday at 4:00, wouldn't they grief everything at 3:59? I don't think it's much of a problem for this suggestion, but I don't think anyone should know when the logs get reset. +1
Thats basically what I was trying to say. All logs OVER 7 days old should be deleted. Everything else should be kept.
ok second idea.. somewhat same concept to help inprove logs/grief reports.. make it a 7 day system.. meaning monday through sunday are always logged.. example. M T W TH F S S how days look on a sunday.. when it becomes monday T W TH F S S M the old monday log is removed and replaced by the new monday log.. this will keep a 7 day log up at all time. allowing no griefers to escape if reported within the week. also because its only 7 days it should not take up more memory/other resource that a 2 week long log would consume.
That would be the best approach however that may not currently be possible depending on how logblock saves logs.
