Yup, locking them is pointless as they are entities. Just like paintings and minecart's that are placed, they will be wiped out and deleted when entities are cleaned up. Mojang would need to recode them as blocks I guess, or a plug-in that recoded them, but I wouldn't really hold your breath on that one. RagMan
