[Suggestion] Limit Area for Death Match

    Suggestion: Limit the area in which people can fight in during deathmatch, either with invisible or visible wall, or a warning system that kills you if you don't get back within the spawn deathmatch area within a certain amount of time, or otherwise drains health for the duration of being outside the deathmatch.

    Reason: To prevent people from running and hiding during the deathmatch. This prolongs a number of games indefinitely, and staff have no method of stopping people from pointlessly dragging out games otherwise. Many people run and hide to troll and/or to get the other person in a deathmatch to give up and leave, giving them the win. This is especially annoying on peak when people want to use specific arenas but are locked out due to someone not deathmatching.

    Any Other Information: None that I can think of right now.

    Link To This Plugin: Existing SG plugin, would need to be modified.

    I agree that we need to limit people from running off and hiding. There are often many times where you simply cannot get them due to sped potions, other side of map, sneaking in corners, etc... It's very annoying to prolong a match for so much longer because somebody decided to run around and troll :/ I understand moving yourself to a better position for a tactical advantage, but I do not appreciate it when people just straight out run away doing no good for them or anybody.

    The point of deathmatch is to have a fast paced end to the game. This would only intensify that definition. Result:

    The problem is, what if there are 3-4 people in an arena, and one leaves just after it begins? This triggers deathmatch, and most likely they won't have a sword by then. You would have to be able to travel away from spawn to get any gear at all.

    -1 to the "limit area" but I have another idea:

    First off, it is a -1 because people play to WIN. SG is a play to >WIN< game and sometimes if you are against full iron/enchanted leather + enchanted stone sword... then you probably wont win with a few things of leather and a wood sword. So if you have any chance of winning, yes you will have to run. It is in a strategic sense.

    My solutions would be any of the following:
    1. Enable the lightning to find other users. I don't see how that could cause problems to be honest.
    2. Instead of reducing health to 2, so they can simply eat then sprint, give everyone the status of slowness (mcmmo I believe) so they can't run away as fast

    Deathmatch is made to end the game. If you have horrible gear by then (in reference to the comment made by AgentHare ), then so be it. Just because you are bad at finding chests doesn't mean others should have to wait.

    I'd personally rather have the arena slowly shrink throughout the whole match, so that they can only last a max of 15-20 minutes than having only the deathmatch be limited.

    15 minute death matches are something i am wanting to avoid..

    This would be 15 minutes for a full sg match, not just the deathmatch.
