Minecraft Name: Buildablock98 Suggestion: Possibly adding a jail system to the server Reason: Every day there are many small rule breaks that are done, that arent exactly big enough for a ban but need to be punished. So, if we had a jail system, if somebody us caught spamming or whatever, they could simply be sent to a server jail. I was thinking that it be either under the spawn, and have chat disabled for whoever is in there, so they will just have to wait out the jail period to play again. It could also be in a remote, hidden place so that they dont cause a problem for other people. Any Other Information: People are banned every day for both little things and big things, if a big rule is broken then that could result in a ban, but little rule breaks may just be an hour or so in jail time Link To This Plugin: Sadly i dont have one, ill try to find one if possible
Maybe there would be a way to disable chat for those in jail? Possibly have the spawn in a non working nether portal, since that stops you from chat at all? (closed off so they cannot move)
Times we have had jail, it was a severe punishment - greater than temp bans and bans. And every time we have had a jail system, the plugin was never kept up with or really ... sucked. I think Andrew gave up on jails a long time ago, lol. But, the last time we had jail, it required you to stay in game and move every few seconds, or you would get bounced back/time would increase; something severe and highly annoying. You also couldn't leave the building or try to break blocks. Even a couple minute jail time could mean you would.. never, ever get out. No one wants to or deserves to be stuck moving in circles almost constantly just to let jail time run out. Also, many jail systems that don't automatically let someone out require someone else to let them out. With all of the minor rules broken, it would be extremely difficult to remember to u-jail everyone.. Though I personally don't like jails (for bugginess, severity, lack of ease for Staff, etc.), constantly broken, smaller rules could just use more warnings and kicks with a balance. I hear from people, and see myself, that Staff either kick too much without understandable reasons, or warn too much and never give an actual punishment (kicking). Both ways don't help to enforce rules and let people understand their rule-breaking. :/
Even if they are trapped in a Jail, they can still spam the server log, causing lag. Temporary bans are much more efficient, and easier to use/do.
I already tryed giving a suggesdtion a couple months ago and they said no but i think its a good idea
