Minecraft Name: @scgenesis Suggestion: increase the length of the non appealable temp ban (per request) and make the time desired optional Reason: I as a student in real life find that it is very hard for me to concentrate on important projects such as essays, papers, ect when im faced with the opportunity to play ECC instead. Any Other Information: The way I imagine this is that instead of requesting a 3 day non appealable temp ban, that you could request a temp ban between 3-7 days (still non appealable) and be temp banned for the requested amount of time. it is, but my time on the server is less enjoyable when I know I should be doing something else so I think this is relevant.
Yeah, but I mean, you yourself should learn how to control yourself and focus on more important tasks on hand. It'll help you later in life and right now. Requesting a tempban may stall these issues, but it certainly doesn't fix them. The server isn't meant to cater to people with problems with self control and such. That's the user's own personal problem.

I'm going through the same boat SC - I should be focusing on school work (hs, thankfully), but often don't due to ECC. That's actually what's happening at this very moment with me I think people should be able to choose the length of the tempban, with a minimum of one day and a maximum of 7. +1 for that reason.
Just download a program that will stop you from being able to access certain things, for example 'Self Control' can be used to block websites for a certain amount of time. In the end it isn't up to the server to deal with your lack of self control, it comes down to whether or not you really want to succeed in your schooling.

Same thing here... the only problem is that if someone were to hack into someone's forum account, they could request a month long ban or something.
Why not.. hear me out here.. Why not just.. ask for another tempban after 3 days? It's not like you're handicapped and literally cannot ask for another, right? You managed to ask the first time, so the second time you can ask too, right?
I've never used and I'm not going to use tempbans in the future. Nonetheless, I can't see why it has to be no more and no less than 3 days. And I can't understand those who are against the ability to decide the amount of time: what the hell, you're just not going to make use of it anyway, man. TL; DR: I can't see why not.
I don't really see this as necessary. Its not the job of staff to monitor your play time/homework also. -1 from me.
