I know of a certain use for these items that gives them a large purpose... But not enough to count, although it is extremely valuable. +1
This would be awesome as a kit. It could be a bit over powered though, not 100% sure on the damage fire does, time for some testing.

That might work. Not sure how you would change the item's durability though... There's probably a command for it somewhere
That would be a good idea as the main thing I would use it for is blocking my path or something like that.
Although you'd have to make it so you can't burn any blocks...I mean, SOMEONE would go running around the map like a madman/pyromanic lighting all the wooden buildings on fire.
Good point but I think it should be able to burn blocks just not spread. (Im pretty sure thats a option considering it is in Xbox Minecraft)
