Minecraft Name: Toutcha01 Suggestion: I have combined a few into this suggestion. Feel free to say why or why not to any of these suggestions please give an answer why. 1.) We make spawn Halloween themed. Now I have done some research on this and a have found that nearly every nation or religion celebrates a holiday similar to Halloween. Also Halloween is International so nearly everyone celebrates it but maybe in a different way^. So that is one thing I think we should do "Spruce" up spawn with some cobwebs, pumpkins, and a haunted house builiding(Not so haunted ) 2 .) We make pumpkins on October 31st, 2$ each just like melons. However they will be 2$ each for one day and one day only, Halloween. This would start at forum time since everyone can share forum time. (Suggested by Buildablock) 3.) Get as many people as we can to change their skin to something Halloween related.(Just kinda in the spirit of the day) Let's see how many costumes we can get like skeletons, creepers, vampires, etc and take a huge picture in front of suggestion one's Haunted House 4.) Sorta not a suggestion but make 1.4 active on October 30th so we can be ready for Halloween I know this may not be possible I know Andrew works a lot on the server but I think this would be pretty neat to have the HALLOWEEN update on halloween Reason: To show that ECC celebrates holidays and wants to bring more spontaneous things to the players Any Other Information: I have been thinking about this lately and I think this would be a very fun day for ECC. Also yes I know this would take time to build/clean up but I'm sure many people would love to see this and if the Haunted House is fantastic you could just keep it. Link To This Plugin: N/A
I am pretty sure the 1.4 Halloween update wont happen that day. We rely on too many plug-ins to push 1.4 live without any of them working and/or tested. (aka the economy plug-in, LWC, World Guard etc). If its all broken we'd spend the day down and rolled back, so it'd be a total loss of a day. Don't worry though, Staff have a few ideas we will be announcing soon. RagMan
^ya Anyway, why just celebrate Halloween? Why not do something for Christmas too! We could also have a New Year's Eve party or something like that I think we should celebrate all of the worldwide/well-known holidays on ECC, because it would be a ton of fun!!!

Last year there was no New Year's party, but at spawn there was a big tree in the very middle of spawn. (Back then there was no spawn market or wood portals). And very many people put christmas trees in their towns with chests under for people to take gifts. And there were many, many chests at spawn that opened right when christmas started, at 12:00.
lol, it was awesome one of the community things that happened on Christmas. One user had a giant tree in his town, and he invited everybody on the server, everybody you could possibly think of, to put chests under the tree for others, anybody they wanted to give stuff to really. There were hundreds upon hundreds of chests of goodies, locked and privated to the correct users. It really was something I never thought the community was capable of doing, but it happened. On Christmas day, we were invited one by one as we came online to collect any chests that were labeled for us by sign. Most users had a chest or two (Unless they were a builder of course, since nobody really knew who they were...that would be a lot of chests...) and a few had 3 or 4, like myself. Lots of gifts even contained things like iron/gold/diamond blocks, records, and other fancy items. If something like that happened again this year... It would take a huge tree to hold all those chests. :| The one I was just talking about was already huge, and it didn't get anywhere near holding all the chests under the tree. I honestly think it would take nearly a 70x70 tree to fit all those gifts if the user managed to collect people as easily as the other one did. Anyway, back on topic to the suggestion: I'd love to see the server celebrate Halloween, or other holidays even. I don't think that's easily done though, we'll see how it goes. Last Halloween...was...interesting. All staff were given mob disguise (which at the time was not available to anyone but Andrew.) and PvP was enabled at spawn. Weather was also enabled in the main world for the day, mostly to see how much it would effect users though, so he could get feedback on how much lag it caused everyone or if they liked it in general. Spawn had temporarily had a complete makeover as well, filled with pumpkins, webs, and scary tunnels/mazes filled with traps and players. Mobs spawned everywhere...including towns, and spawn... Day/night time was adjusted, so night lasted a lot longer than normal and day went by quicker than you can say "Finally! Sunlight!". Finally, Andrew took a picture of everyone on the server at the time, lining them all up and making them all wear pumpkin hats. A few community events were also held around that time, like I believe Micheal set up a scavenger hunt. (I might be mixing that up with some other time, actually. Not sure.) If Halloween was even considered this year, I imagine it would be less random and there would be other types of "changes" in effect. I remember last year being fun, despite all the chaos that came from the changes that were made (People dying in spawn and losing everything, lagging from rain, crops not growing as well with no daylight or they just couldn't see, etc...) I'm looking forward to what might happen this year.

I was jus about to suggest a raise in pumpkin prices and saw this ! This is a good example of supply and demand which is what economy is all about! Raise until Halloween! +1000 lol
