Minecraft Name: King_of_the_Dot Suggestion: Fortune4 diamond picks Reason: I thought the potential of having fortune4 diamond picks would be a way to help boost the economy. The idea is that you could purchase fortune4 diamond picks like you would an eff7 pick, except that it would be an eff5 pick. It shouldnt have the capability to be on an eff7. Instead of Nstars, it should be purchased with exp. That would jumpstart the falling exp market. Any Other Information: It would also make spawners are lot more valuable. So that would drag a lot more people back into the mining world. It will also add more traffic to the trade and auction channels. It also gives lower ranking/newer ecc players a chance to obtain really rare items, without having to buy a lot of other player's Nstars. Of course it would have to cost a lot of exp, but I think it gives the lower ranking/newer players a chance to also obtain a great item, without being rich, but simply finding spawners, and putting in lots and lots of killing time.
It seems like an Excellent Idea on paper And I really like the Idea of buying with Exp but releasing this into the market would Destroy the current price of Gems/Ingots and actually hurt New players because the price of Ores would increase further and the mining world would get even more torn up (which is the main source of income for new players). I wish to remain neutral in this discussion so I will not +1 or -1. Thanks ~Seawiiplay
The xp price would have to be... at $4 per orb at server-bought price... about 100,000-150,000 orbs, or about 110-160 exp sets.
Gem and mineral prices are already quite low - this would cause them to drop even further than they are now.
That would make ores in less supply, because people would be breaking them all with for4... Creating a demand for ores. How would this make ores worth less?
I dislike this, all this is going to do is cause imbalance to be worked out. Since mining prices are based on the max per hour, the first time someone gets the pick the price of everything would drop. If I had a fortune 4 pick, I could get tons and tons of more goodies per block. Suddenly the amount of ores in market would go way way up, and prices would go down because there'd be so much more ore. The imbalance would have to be worked out so people made the same amount of money with this. Goin down this road, diamonds will be 10 bucks soon, simply because you can get so many per trip. If I lugged in diamond like I did iron, diamond would be worth 8 bucks. All this does is make me lug in tons more diamond and everything except iron and gold, lowering prices again. Not really a good idea.
How is the eff7 pick, basically, not the same as for4 on a eff5 pick? You can get to more diamonds faster with an eff7 pick, or you can make more diamonds with a for4 pick... I dont see you folks complaining about the eff7 pick.
what's the difference? Finding 20 ores and getting 60 diamonds, with a for4 pick? or finding 30 ores and 60 diamonds with an eff7 pick? Ok ok, what about having both picks? Buying both picks would cost 600-700k+. You know how much mining you'd have to do to make that money back?
Lol, I haven't complained about the eff 7 because damage can't be reversed. I can stop future picks though But really, I could buy both picks, mine my 30 ores with my eff 7 pick, and then Fortune IV them and get 80 diamonds instead. Still adds tons more money
Which, if you think about it, doesn't matter. Lets assume I have a money box that gives me 1mil an hour. It costs 10mil, so who cares, no one will ever get it...but if I get it...it's far far too OP. Some things are too OP that even if they cost an arm and a leg, no matter how hard they are to get, once you have em, they are too overpowered.
Although I like the idea, I must agree that both picks on the market at the same time is disastrous. If I had both... I could decimate the market. If someone with a top floor spawnshop had both, well, frankly Andrew would have to drop the price of most items that you mine to compensate and then we'd be back at square one.
And sadly, on top of all this, builders and those that can't get their hands on max stuff, suffer more and more and more.
Jason1964 We should make a suggestion post about an addition to the tutorial, on basic ways to make money on ECC.
I would really like the addition of a fortune 4 pick but sadly if it was added all the mine-able items would drop quite significantly in value as the market would become saturated with items.
very true, but maybe it need to be a little harder to get resident so that the prime examples of users end up becoming an accepted individual. Not to say that builders are lesser players because they aren't, no one can determine a person's actions just from the rank that they possess.
