What if you make a help center in the spawn? You can make it like a tall tower and have it have all the rules, FAQs, commands, helpful tips, etc. Would solve a lot of the problems we have had with people not knowing anything about the server.
That would discourage people from checking the forums. When you don't check the forums, you don't know when the server is down, what the major announcements are, etc. We already get tons of, "WHY AM I NOT WHITELISTED?!!?!??1!/1/11/!?1?!?1" crap because people don't check simple threads when the server is down. >_>'
ya more people do need to read the forums, but some don't even know a forum exists so have a "Check ecocitycraft.com" RIGHT infront of the spawn
You almost need a like a plugin where when you join the game the rulebook shows up... (Only for new users)~~~!
The old spawn was like this when it first started and there were tons of problems with it so i say no just read the forums and not be lazy...
I would a thousand times more prefer people to check the forums, but alas it's apparently not in our new users thought process that maybe we have a forums and I should read it. I just thought this would cut down on the global spam we see from the new users.
It's a good idea but the new users would just ignore it like the forums unless andy found some way to force them to read it but than no new people would get past it so just keep the system we have now.
No one reads signs about server information. They really ... don't. I worry about this generation and last, and how people manage to get by in life without looking at the obvious and just not thinking.. Most we can do is tell them to check the forums, and ignore them, lulz
