Ign: dylpickle98 Suggestion: raising the price of cooked fish (not raw but cooked) to $52 Or so. Also possibly raising the price on cooked potatoes. Reason: This will help encourage "forging" jobs and also give a new use to raw fish. It will also encourage more trade between fishers and other people. Other info: This will also encourage players to sell raw fish to other players for say $51.50. The fishermen make a little profit over /sell handing and the forger also makes a small profit. For people who own a public dock like me, we would be able to hire fishermen to fish and sell their fish to us for over /sell hand price, alowing us to make a small profit without taking advantage of new players. Other information cont. : I acknolage that price changes are not done oftenly, nor are they well liked by players.
Glad to know im not the only person who likes this idea! Btw, if a mod is watching this please change the title to [sugestion for increasing the price of cooked fish and possibly potatoes] or tell me how to do it myself
The price is the same because you make the other money from the exp you get from cooking the meat, should you decide to cook it. Also moved to the right forum.
Not to be negative on this, but when I see the price of fish in general I laugh. We are supposedly a "hardcore economy" yet diamonds are cheaper than fish (cooked or raw) now how does this happen? How long does it take one to find a diamond and the tools needed for it? For $30 you buy a fishing rod, and about a minute later you can have the price returned catching a fish. Not disputing your idea with the fish and the reasoning, but personally I would like to see fish below the $20 but same principal. Raw fish $19.50 cooked fish $20.00 per say. Flame away but this is my personal opinion for pricing, not the idea behind what you suggest.
If you want to know how this happens I shall tell you. A few months ago a User by the name of Camcliff decided to lower the price of diamonds from 100$+ per to 85$ per and he did this by buying them for more than everyone else and selling them for less than everyone else. and he did this over the course of a few weeks. Then fast foward to some time later a user by the name of lnspecthergadget decided he wanted them lower and he was told that he could never lower them to the price he wanted them to be lowered to. So he bought one of the best spawn shops you can get then bought all the of diamonds he could and then set the price to I believe 45 or 50$ per diamonds. Then he single handedly crushed the diamond market, and since we have so many diamonds in the market the prices stayed low despite efforts to bring them back up in price, the highest they got back up to was 70$ per diamond, then they crashed down again.
Are you serious Netsui ?? Why would someone want to do that?? Explains a fair bit to why the price is as it is. So diamonds are pretty well pointless to make money from these days.
While hiring people to fish for my diamonds, they have uprisings and just sell their fish. With 6 people fishing for me they get a bit more than the server while fishing if this was implemented. Cooked fish is pretty much nonexistent now due to porkchops from voting. +1
Indeed! If this passed more people could do what we do and the same time not have to pay noobs under server price for their fish
Cooked items should only be $0.05 more than the un-cooked item because charcoal is worth $0.40 and cooks 8 items in a furnace. $0.40/8 = $0.05, but no one is really bothered by that $0.05 so it is left how it is.
Yea... But there is. Also the job of cooking the fish itself... However cooking pots nerfed this idea. +1 anyways
