Minecraft Name: WhiteSoxFan123 Suggestion: Turn Treasure back on for fishing Reason: At the moment, eff7's make about 20k/hour (estimated from several eff7 owners), and Melon Swords make a similar amount (also estimated from owners). These cost 1500 nether stars and 2000 nether stars respectively (personally i think Melon swords should make more since they cost more, but that's besides the point). This is the same cost as the star rod, widely considered the pinnacle of fishing rods. Despite being the same price in nether stars (I'm only using star tools because they have the most baseline cost in nether stars rather than a max rod/a max pick) the star rod only makes a minimal 10.5k and that is including exp sold at (1.25/orb, a common price at the moment this suggestion was published). I essentially picked star tools because a max pick might cost more than a max rod and therefore it would be understandable to be capable of making more money. Another reason I believe treasure should be reintroduced, is because fishing has very little user market, the server price is the price you will get with fish. Very rarely do you get more from other users, unlike mining where it is almost all user driven Any Other Information: The point of this comparison is to emphasize that fishing is not valued equally by our hardcore economy, and turning on treasure for resale would help subsidize the differential in money made/hour. Link To This Plugin: None At This Time. *Note: this experiment is also assuming you have all of the necessary features/items to optimally do each job. i.e. pyro+, fly/speed, prot4, fishing table
After doing some more tests and talking with members off ecc's /ch v, i also discovered a max, eff5 diamond pick makes about 12k/hour. Seeing how star rod's money/hour is less than a tool (eff5 max pick) that costs a mere fraction of the rod, this is just further evidence to turn on fishing treasure
The reason this was removed was because mcmmo had a glitch where someone like me (Fishing Level 9 at the time) was getting max discs and other stuff.
And I understand why it got taken out, but i'm sure you could alter the probability of each individual drop coming
It is very easy to alter/change MCMMO drop percentages... But is it as easy to change the percentage or outcome of the vanilla drops? If so, then +1. If not -1. I mean, if it was just a simple thing of turning off discs, then I would have thought this would have been done right away. Seems like the first option didn't work, so we had to shut it all down.
+10220 after deep thought, ECC treasures are a user run market... the server shall not have to in a sense give out money or print money.
I don't know about you but I make more than 10.5k per hour from fish and exp... For example I fished for 6 hours yesterday and aquired roughly 11k per hour on the fish alone. I got about 17k exp so even at your math I got $14k extra from just the exp so a total of $13.3k per hour.
https://twitter.com/Dewsy92/status/463645233323192320 This was a tweet that I sent andrew on 6th May, hie response was that fishing treasures would be reintroduced 'eventually '. So I guess that it is something in the pipeline.
@HCPillarofFire what where you using to fish (i.e. table) because i did 2 trials and both gave me about 10.5k/hour with exp
I have absolutely NO clue what a fishing table does, anyone care to clarify? And as for the suggestion, +1. I miss having my inventory full of wood and stone tools.
