no, we never chose to have this in the nether so we won't have something in the mining world either. You can still group together and roam together. The reason we shouldn't have factions is because it requires factions to have a base meaning a little piece of protected land, people could just make a protected area and live there or be there with no danger of being killed.
Who says that having a 'protected area' means that not to be killed. Someone can found their base, do /f claim get rid of the base. And even if you are in your base and someone attacks you, you will only have damage reduced by 30%. This mod will be nice for Raids and other cool stuff as well it will make the server alot more popular by bringing players that only like pvp, factions servers.
That is NOT how it works. you can get an area you CAN NOT grief in a world where you CAN grief. and you cannot simply claim an area, you just have to set a bunker make sure you don't get killed voila. also the damage is only reduced if you are fighting another faction that is your enemy else you are invincible. I have been on factions servers before and it just does NOT work on this server.
I've also been on Factions servers. There will be no factions on this server, either. Full-out PVP servers have Factions - we are not full-out PVP. This world is for mining, and mining alone. PVP is there so that it isn't too easy, not to make groups and gang up on people. It is free-for-all mining. Factions allows land claiming. That isn't free-for-all mining.
Did you know that I have been on factions servers too? And yes, this is the first economy server I play, if you claim a land and someone wants to take it, to grief it, he just has to /f claim your land if he has enough power. And kuke, it's easy to type /f enemy <faction>, if someone see your land, they will for sure claim your land if they have enough power... And it's very true that you can turn claim command off. P.S: Some servers are not full-pvp but still have factions mod.
Turning land claim off is kind of stupid, since that is the major point around Factions... I'm betting most servers that aren't full-out PVP are role playing, so that factions are like "clans" or "guilds." Either way, mining world is for mining. Not PVP ganking.
If this plugin removes friendly fire... it would be nice. We are also in desperate need in something new, and factions would fit this.
I'm all in favor of being able to have "parties" in the Mining World... but Factions is meant for more, and Factions is one of those "iffy" plugins like McMMO, where it can have strange problems all of the time. Something simple for parties, like that Skillz thing instead of McMMO, I'd be fine with. Just... I'm against Factions. It'll end up like McMMO.
I have to agree with this Parties sounds fine. I'd like to know that I can trust the people I travel with there without worry, and parties could probably make this possible.
i have been using factions for a while now no problems have ever come up the only thing is its a mining world not pvp no i am against it
