Minecraft Name: @THCOOL Suggestion: My suggestion is to enable the use of pistons ONLY in the nether world Reason: I believe that the main reason why pistons are disabled are due to the lag that comes with them. In the main world this would be an issue yes, but in the nether it is limited and its even reset every month. This should also be implemented because it allows for the use of mob grinding, in specific, blaze farming. The nether world is dead and the inly reason users go into nether is for quartz. I believe that if we enable pistons in nether which then enables proper blaze farming, then it would help revive the nether world. We would see many more people (including myself) making visits to nether and this would also mean a boost in pvp since pvp is enabled in nether Other Information: Only downside I see is the lag issue but again, the world is paid access and more importantly its reset every month so the lag would not be able to build up. For that reason I just dont see "lag" being an issue here. Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?: N/A
Hm I knew they had some small bugs but i was under the impression that they were minimal and fairly easy to fix. I suppose not though
I have one bug I could immediately test with pistons, another one or two may require some more remembering. Fact is, pistons are pretty useful for duplicating things.
Dupes? Even pistons? I knew about lag, but dupes? Hell, everything makes dupes... Btw, +1 to the suggestion if dupes bugs can be safely removed, -1 otherwise. Lag in Nether would be negligible, given that nobody goes over there nowadays
Couldn't someone with bad intentions go into the nether with a ton of pistons, and setup a huge redstone clock? They could use slimes to move a lot of blocks, therefore causing massive server lag. Correct me if I'm wrong, but one person could cause a lot of lag, and put the server at risk of crashing.
If your purpose is to create lag just for the sake of it, there's a million different ways to do it, much cheaper than purchasing Nether ranks - and you're guaranteed to get banned asap. The issue is with users who inadvertently create lag (as I myself did a few months ago in the Summer Build Contest - ask Jamie ). Nether is rarely visited by more than 5 people at once and it's a 5000x5000 world (if I'm not mistaken), as compared to the Events region (much smaller) during a Build Contest (many more people at the same time), where you're guaranteed that block updates will be sent to many players.
Dont know of any dupes how ever how ecc is set up the 1 thing il agree on is to never add pistons. -1111111111
