Item/Rank/Feature: Efficiency 7 Pickaxe Data Value: 278 Current Price: 1500 Netherstars Suggested Price: 2200 Netherstars Brief Description: By obtaining 1500 netherstars, then going to the star shop, and purchasing the Efficiency 7 Pickaxe via a sign. Open Discussion: Efficiency 7's make $5,000 more per hour than a melon sword on average, if not more. Yet, by logic, one would think the efficiency 7 pickaxe would cost more. However, that is not the case. I personally feel that the efficiency 7 pickaxe needs a price change in order to control inflation on the item, and by making it more difficult to obtain, this goal can be accomplished.
Why not make them more difficult to get, making the possession of one even more valuable? I think a change in price is needed in order to balance out the economy.
because there already worth like 800k and that is enough in my opinion never in hell would i ever pay more for one its Not worth it.
They're worth that player value. The actual server value is $225,000. The value should go to $330,000. People overpay for these items, and the player to player value is not what is evaluated. Rather, the server value.
If the server value goes up people will want more for them and there not worth more no one will buy them = no way to make money= players leave.
And how does that impact players who already own one or more EFF7's? Aside from giving them an opportunity to profit should they wish to sell. 700 Nstars would be quite a jump in price difference.
How did players with buffer get affected when that price was changed? They weren't, same applies here.
But it's not like you can go and sell your $20 buffer for $30 and keep $10... Eff7's are tangible ingame items.
I don't think that a refund should happen if the price goes up. Heck, that just means you got the tool for 700 nstars less than everyone else.
What about when Melon Swords were raised? Nothing was done when that happened, same would be done here.
Thats the whole point in star tools. I agree with this suggestion, they should be raised and Melon Swords also need... fixed. I don't really know what yet, but the price of a melon sword compared to what it earns is.. well.. ridiculous imo.
You pay for the effortless money making that comes with a melonsword. To be completely honest, melon farming is semi-afakable because you can watch a film and farm :3
The reason that I think that melon swords were raised was because they are a reliable way to make money without using much effort. Eff7's are much different. Eff7's take much more risk, are not consistent, and take about as much effort as minecraft can require. Also, I am not usually one to agree with making the gap between the rich and the poor larger so I don't think I'd like to see this happen.
How would this create a gap between the rich and poor exactly? Are you suggesting everyone make millions?
Sorry, I guess I didn't really explain what I meant there. The people that already have an eff7 or multiple eff7s will have a tool that is worth about 33% more than before by doing nothing more than buying an eff7 at an earlier date. On the other hand, newer/poorer players will have a harder time getting this star tool because it will be worth more. Basically what I am saying is that if this happens, it will make the richer player with the eff7 will become even more richer than the poorer player without the eff7, even more than now. I had a bit of trouble explaining that so if you don't completely understand what I mean, please let me know so I can explain better.
I understand what you mean. However, your logic is incorrect, as it has already been done in the past. The original price of a Melon Sword was 1000 netherstars. It is now 2000 netherstars, so wouldn't the gap be large now? I don't believe so, hence why I don't think this is a bad idea.
