The limit is there so you can edit your thread title in case of a typo. For anything else you can simply contact a staffmember to change the title.
I can no longer update the date part of the Staff Guidebook, this kept users informed as to when I last updated it without having to go to see when it was last edited by myself.
Why not just post in the thread whenever you update it? Or put it at the top of the thread? There's absolutely no need to put it in the title. A title isn't meant to be changed all the time.
