Minecraft Name: jassimq Suggestion: when u donate a page open and it says thank u for donating to 'ex: jassimq' and it will say which donation u donated for and how much did it cost Reason:this will be helpul so if someone sold a giftcard he just send the link and it will have the info so buyers will know pay the money after they see the page and it will expire in 24 hours after he bought the donation Any Other Information: everything is there and Andrew this will be helpul and less scams will be taken place And less complaints Link To This Plugin: it doesn't have a plugin
Andrew if this was accepted u will do the economy a big favour and more people will buy donation from other users u know what that means. Guys if u have questions or any bad side affects of this feel free to comment
1.you mean they donate to user 2. 2.they link a page it stand they donated 3.user pay for donation did i understand right?
+1 , lots of people get scammed and i know people who have scammed this would be a great idea well done jassimq
yes they just buy and on the page it says that they have donated to that user and then the seller should link the buyer the link so he can see that he actually buyed his donation then the user pay the money after he checks the link
k from me -1 ( also think many other donators agree) reason: say i buy <username> a gift card (just example) 1. i donate to <username> 2. i send the link to <username> 3. <username> think nice a free donation dont pay. mean then the buyer can scam the donator i myself would NEVER donate before i get the money.
ok maybe we can have a mod, the buyer will pay the mod the 50k (example) before the seller send the link and then the mod would check that the donation was complete by looking at the page and then the mode would pay the seller the page would help the mod confirms that the seller bought for the buyer the donation/giftcard
if the buyer doesnt want to get scammed he would wait for a mod and there will be a mod there for sure
ex: if jacksonml wanna sell jassimq a 10$ giftcard but jassimq is not sure that jacksonml wont scam him ok so if this rule will take place once jacksonml buy jassimq a 10$ giftcard a page will open it will say "thank u for donation for jassimq, ex: multihome 15$" then jacksonml link jassimq the link of the page so jassimq will be sure that he will not get scammed and then jassimq pays jacksonml ex: 50k if jacksonml was worried that jassimq wont pay him 50k a mod will come before all this happen and jassimq will pay the mod 50k and when the mod checks from the page that the donation was completed the mod will pay jacksonml the 50k which jassimq paid the mod
I can say that I have participated in such a thing where a large donation about $350k of donations I held for another player till I recieved a mail saying that they had received the donation and that they were fine with the money being sent. Some mods will be happy to assist in this manner as we are here to help out the players. Ideally and the general idea is that you never pay irl money before receiving the in game stuff. In game money is earnt or is meant to be earnt by playing or having fun, irl money is earnt with sweat. We prefer to see you lose money that is earned while enjoying yourself as oposed to when you were sweating for it. We have been thinking was to mitigate this all (ie. the contracts section). Another way to discourage scamming is to ask if you can post the shot of your money being sent in the contracts section. Say have a mod "Approve" the contract but not lock until you post the evidence (screen of money transfer) that the contract is underway. Being proactive in having all the evidence for a complaint will make a user think twice about scamming as they know you have the evidence needed to see them banned. I recommend you do some research on a player before trading with them and posting feedback in the trades section sticky regarding donations or in the complaints section. Always remember if it seems too good to be true..... there is a good chance that it is, take all the appropriate measures to cover yourself and let the other party know that you know what you are doing.
If you got scammed irl money I am pretty sure you can just cancel the donation. On topic I would love this as I have spent just about 2 mil on features.
why not just do the easy way? just buy from trusted users. 1. go to feedback thread and look there 2. dont trust if they havent any $$
Well because there are potentially other users who don't have the $$ tag and also some of these "trusted" users can be a bit dodgy at times if they see and opportunity.... Essentially it is a cut throat market out there where the best approach is to go for the more legit players as Sinder said and then to enforce it with contract and if possible see if you can put the screenie of the money being sent posted on the contract after it has been approved before having it locked. Both parties then know that you have a solid case against them that needs minimal effort to press.
