Plz read suggestion before writing the hate comments thx . Ign: RyanBlocks2 Suggestion: Devaluing star tools. Reason: The entire economy revolves around star tools. It takes a lot of the diversity and fun out of the economy and makes the economy consist of a small middle class with a large lower class with no star tools and an upper class with star tools. Also, with star tools, the whole game for those without star tools is just grinding until you get a star tool. My suggestion is to either inflate the economy with nether stars or to lower the price of star tools in the star shop to make star tools less expensive, say 200k or so instead of like 500k. This would allow more people to afford star swords, and with more people having them it would hopefully make people do other things then save for star tools. Also, possibly instead of lowering the price lower the worth by nerfing the tools slightly making it so there are other options the make close to as much money as star tools make to give more options than grinding for a star tool.
I disbelieve your premise that the whole game is grinding to star tools until you get one. The game is about having fun, whether it's creating something cool in your town, grinding to a star tool, running a successful shop, or whatever else you want to do. I believe that devaluing star tools will help those that want to collect them, at the cost of all the people that aren't interested, and sell their nstars.
Your entire point is based on the point that 100% of rich users use star tools. This is wrong. The richest users in fact do not use star tools. Users such as usernameofdeath, revan, or even myself do not use star tools. People run spawn shops (username), people trade items (revan), and I sell features/run small businesses. The upper class is not just star tool users.
This would completely destroy, let me repeat myself, DESTROY the economy. You're idea that making star tools $200k is not well thought out, at all. With an Efficiency 7 pickaxe, I make $20k+ an hour. Let's say there's 200 in the economy, and everyone uses them for 1 hour a day, and makes $20k. That adds $4 million into the economy, each day, and $28 million a week. Your premise of making star tools $200k, and much more common, would inflate the economy to smithereens. Let's now have 500 picks in the economy, which is a very, very plausible number for what you're saying. At $20k per day, that would be $10 million a day. More than double what it is now! And $70 million a week! That's insanity. So your idea of lowering the cost of star tools, would destroy gameplay, by inflating the economy to no end. $70 million a week, just from picks, is insane. And that's just from picks, not to include fishing and farming. This will never, ever happen. -1
But that would completely destroy the current users advantage. To add onto my original post, you stated that the classes on ECC are completely wrong. ECC's economy represents the diverse world economy today. Here's my diagram: Lower class: Largest social class in the world, without a doubt. Very similar to ECC's. The primary ranks in this social class are Builders and Residents, with some Presidents and Mayors, but very few. They hold about 70% of the community and about 5% of the wealth. Similar to the real world. Middle Class: Common class of the world today. They have the basic necessities to enjoy a life of fun and have a decent source of income. Most of these users in here are SG'ers and pumpkin farmers, and possibly Eff5 miners. The majority of these users are Mayors and Presidents, with some Tycoons, residents, and ecoleaders. They are about 25% of the community and hold about 25% of the wealth on ECC. Upperclass: The rich. They own the economy. They have a life of luxury and wealth. They have assets galore. Star tools, money and much more. They're similar to the top 1% in the world today. They're about 5% of the community, and own about 70% of the wealth on ECC. This class consists of some, but very little presidents, mayors, tycoons, ecoleaders, ecomasters and ecolegends. There isn't much wrong here. Your idea that the social class system being "corrupt" is incorrect. I don't see an issue here. I consider myself part of the Upper Middle class, as I don't have a lot of cash, but I own two star tools. Anyone can obtain a star tool through hard work and determination, like I did. If you set your mind to it, it won't be difficult. Trying to take a shortcut by suggesting this won't. -1, again.
I don't know about anyone of you but I joined ECC to build larger structures and monuments to strengthen my skills as a builder but not be a cop out and do it on creative. I play minecraft to build I joined a server to debate and have players see what I build and to test my skills against others in pvp and building and most importantly to play with my friends and family irl on the same world without relms. So i dont believe people just grind to get a star tool. I personally don't see much use from them. I've built 200x200 structures without them and can continue to do so. I personally think a star tool is a waste of money. Comparest to the world's you can build and the wonders you can make a reality. So of course I could take the economy stance that everyone will take, and they are right it will affect our economy greatly remember we can't even still ores due to eff 7 picks. Also melon and pumpkin prices completely depend upon these tools. There is alot of value in these tools and for good reason the they deserve to be recognized as the best and worked toward. Now should you get one? ... No, it's not needed it's just for status and to same more time grinding. Just get an pumpkin Axe and a large farm or a cocoa farm and vote every day and you will be fine. I would point out how desperately people cling to these tools just refer to the Melon sword scares. Players invest everything into these tools. So it all depends on how you want to run your life on ECC but star tools aren't going away any time soon. -1 TL: DR -1
-1 A lot of upper class users would prefer to play the Survival games or run a shop. You will find that the users that use star tools the most are actually middle class.
Damn, I can't quote very well . I just wanted to point out... Middle Class people... Are NOT Sg'ers or Ecoleaders... Take Ctoolme as an example. Sg is his main income source... and he is an ecoleader... He has just recently made 1,000,000 in *8* days! He also just made quit possibly one of the biggest transactions on ECC Buying station17 for 6,000,000... In my opinion... He ain't middle class...
Some was the key word. There are some ecoleaders that are Middle Class, but not all. Read before you say that next time. Thank you.
You said at the top "But that would completely destroy the current users advantage." It just made me laugh because I am pretty sure that he wants that to happen
I am an SG'er and I consider myself upperclass in the terms of money. And this would just ruin the economy. -1
