In arena deathmatch, there should be a close world limit to where you can go. Sometimes when I play sg, people just run away instead of fighting. Some people also camp and hope the others rage quit and leave so the campers can win the game. This is not fair! My suggestion is to add a limit to where you can go in deathmatch. Once, me and some guy were the last two and he ran away and geared up, then killed me. This is once again not fair because I had the better gear in the beginning of deathmatch and he shouldn't be able to run away when we want the game to end as quick as possible. *Muffin*
It's the survival games, so I personally don't have a problem with people running off and getting more gear if it helps them survive. I just try to kill people quickly in deathmatch so they can't run off.
^ Agreed it's survival games if running helps them survive or gain an advantage they should be allowed to do that.
Just an fyi, you can reply to multiple posts in one post, as well as edit posts. No need to fill up a thread needlessly.
Say, this was real life. If you were completely outmatched by another person in the hunger games, would you just go and fight them. Would you risk your life if you know you are going to lose? Most likely not. It's the fight or flight decision for some people. No matter how great it would be to have people not run, it's that person's decision on whether they want to live by running, or die by fighting when they are completely outmatched.
One thing concerning the deathmatch that I've had a problem with it the fact that once the deathmatch starts, I can't move my view (my head is always looking down) and a couple of times, when I eat, my hunger will instantly go back to none so I can't run, or fight, or do anything.
Real life situations do often occur in the game though. Although it can't compare to the actual real life, most people would make similar choices in a game where winning is the absolute goal. If you play an FPS game you want to win, you don't just run in and get yourself shot. No, you take cover and use strategy and skill to win. It's the same in SG.
I completely agree with this. So..-1 to the suggestion. The point of SG is to win. Just like in the popular "Hunger Games" series, the characters used tactics and strategical maneuvering so as not to be the one to be killed.
You just have to find a way to kill them. Most people I play with, come after me in deathmatch. If they do run away, I either kill them with a bow (tactic 1) or chase after them (tactic 2).
I have been in many situations like that (ingame of corse) and the best bet of you is to have two people fight and run in take the loot and use it to fight, and besides I think just about everyone who plays sg would act differntly if their life was on the line than a maximum of 2400 virtual dollars.
Part of Survival is tactics. Tactics includes at times running away to regroup yourself for the battle. I am an avid SGer and I have experienced this. All I've learned to do is to get them before they run. .
