Minecraft Name: OnSceneReporter Suggestion: When accepting a teleport from/or sending to someone into a PVP zone, especially main world pvp zones, it would be nice to have a warning or confirmation dialog. Additionally, it would be nice to get a dialog that announces to you that you have entered a PVP zone. Reason: This would prevent people from inadvertently teleporting or walking into PVP zones. Other Information: I have seen that messages can be issued when walking into PVP zones. Link to this plugin: Unfortunately I do not know as of yet. I will try to investigate a little.
Possible to add, though I doubt that Khobbits or sk89q are willing to add this to either essentials or worldguard. My shot at making it would go like this, in non programmer speak; Check if the config value is set, if yes check if the player teleporting (/tpahere) is in a pvp arena, by checking wg region flags, in a given area. if yes, send a warning to the player accepting it. check if the player who is accepting (/tpa) is in a pvp arena. if yes send a warning to the player sending it, and ask for confirmation.
A flag that gives welcome messages and goodbye messages as people leave a region is part of worldguard. When it was suggested to add it as a feature that could be purchased, it was denied because of the amount of lag it would create. Doing it will pvp zones is a similar thing, you could just enabled a welcome message flag for that pvp region. This would create a lot of lag as the server would constantly be checking if any player had entered any of the pvp regions. At least this is what I understood.
It is possible and there is harm. The lag this would create could possibly bring the server to a crawl. Kuke has talked about this many times... For example, when talking about Town Greetings: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/town-feature.72692/#post-352210
