Minecraft Name: Glooble Suggestion: Change the radius of /near back to 500 blocks Reason: I cannot see everyone who I could be talking to in local chat and that would be very useful. Any Other Information: It has been 500 for a long time and it could also cause more work for me to do if there is a situation where I need /near to moderate effectively if the radius is only 200 blocks. Can't you always "/near [distance <500]", to show players within that range? Don't have the feature myself, just what I've heard.
It's always been 200 by default.. Anyway, you should be able to do /near 500, as the limit for /near should be 500 (At least it was last I checked.)
It used to be 400 by default, because I could /near and see people in spawn while at the staff farm, but now 200 is both the default and max.
I banned myself Tuesday, but as of Monday, I have a power tool set to /near 500, so 200 is not the max.
I would like it back to 500 - or whatever it used to be. My guess for it becoming smaller may be lag. Seems like it might generate a little lag if people use it repeatedly (spawner hunters in Mining World). Having it bigger would mean having to pull up more names.
My biggest concern is that someone may have purchased ExtCommands for the reason of using /near 500. The description before and now show the max is 500. Purchased commands should not have their "value" lowered after purchasing them. /near Check users who are within your radius. The default/max radius will be 500 blocks in any direction. Using /near 5 for example will tell you whose within 5 blocks from you. This command is great for finding out who a mob disguised player really is! Say there is a sheep following you and your certain it’s a player. This will allow you to use /near 10 for example and find out who it is.
