@kukelekuuk00 has a plugin that prevents any type of automated cactus farming. Make Cactus farming be a way players of all ranks/status can make money. This way builders don't feel so inferior, and are likely to stay.
This is why we add them to the nether! https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/cactus-in-the-nether.1893/ #BestSuggestion2011
I agree, many things can be auto farmed, and ECC has always found a way to prevent it. Would be so cool to have cactus farming again! +1
You know what would happen if the cactus price were even anything above $0 if cactus farming was allowed? The economy would explode with money. It would inflate like Zimbabwe's currency. https://ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/why-cactus-is-banned-on-ecc.28591/ It's an old thread, but it still applies to this day. -1
Not true. Look at sugar cane farming. Same idea of farming bc of the crop is grown upwards. If auto farming is forced out of ECC, cactus will work just as any other crop would.
This would be awesome if you could stop the autofarms, And if there is a way of doing that, which it sounds like there could be. I am all for seeing cactus back +1
I don't see how allowing cactus farming will singlehandedly raise the player retention rate by several times it's current amount. Yes yes I know that's an argument on semantics.
I don't see how you can stop cactus auto-farming and still have worthwhile cactus farming? Details on the plugin?
I'm a huge fan of any new way to make money on ecc, but with 1.9 a'comin' round the bend I think we should hold on the cactus farming until we figure out how those darn Chorus plants/fruits will fit in/be farmed. Keeping in mind, of course, that I know nothing about them other than their existence so maybe it is a non-issue.
If were to start cactus farming, it would decrease the value of cactus and green dye from 100 to 0 real quick (I'm sorry - I had to). Also, can't builders just Sugar Cane farm, do a job or 2, or just vote for NStars? That seems much more reasonable. -1
