Minecraft Name:Harryhaz1 Suggestion: adding a command that allowes people to purchess items from the server, the price would be defined by the amount of items the server currently has ( from /sell ), I'd imagine that this would create some "realistic" economy situations like people withholding items from the server ( to keep the price high) Reason: I thaught this would create a more realistic economy and create some "change" within our economy Any Other Information:if you have any additional suggestions post them below Link To This Plugin:n/a
We already have this. It's called the build shop. And having a command to buy anything at any amount would kill the economy.
I know, those signs are only located in the build shop. And they sell for high prices in large amounts so it doesn't crash the economy.
I know, but this guy knows that there are buy signs. He just wants a command for you to be able to buy it easier and more efficiently at a lower cost and a lower amount. That wouldn't work.
Wrong! No, I'm not looking for a way to buy things cheeper for my own gain, I was saying that having a purchasing system that can be affected based on reserves, and people objectives would be a great idea!
The amounts would go up and down based on demand! Some could go extremly high, and some would crash... Just like an accutally economy
Oh so a system where if 20k of dirt has been sold to the server then only 20k of dirt would be available from the server to buy? But this ecommony isn't based on demand and supply enough.
the price for selling to the server won't change -_- just the price to... Ahh I see what your saying... There would be a base price that the item can't go under... For example, pumpkins/reeds/melons, it would be $0.75-1.00
The problem is that 90% of things people make to get money is never used, like fish, gold, melons, wheat, reeds, pumpkins, iron, etc. And things people use, they don't make it themselves, like dirt, glowstone, and stone bricks. This idea would just complicate the whole economy.
It sounds complicated because it is. If this is going be put into the server, a lot of serious thinking will be needed for the prices and amounts people will buy for. I personally think that the economy is fine the way it is.
But about about that 10%, and a more sophisticated economy might be what we need, let's say that an update will be coming in 1.6, that added a use for emeralds ( assuming that you are able to buy the emeralds from the server... Which you cant) and welikeike forcees this, and be buys a majority of the emeralds, when the update comes out, and the demand goes up, he can sell then for a higher price
Then people would mine more emeralds before the update and it would even it out. It's basic supply and demand. Same thing happened for Efficiency V's before 1.3 Everyone enchanted Eff V's, so the prices did not inflate as much.
assuming that the time of 1.6's release, that there would be "Thousands" of emeralds, considering the amount of time betweencthat update features release, and 1.6 itself, there would be enough "miners" to balance welikeikes purchess, and he comes out on top, eff 5 tools dont quite fit this rule, since in my example, it was 1 person who had baught all ther emeralds available, where as in yours, "everyone" got eff 5 tools, and due to there rareness and price at the time, hoarding them world be expensive and arduous
If emerald prices soared, then more people would mine, more emeralds would be in the economy, and the prices would drop again.
