So, I've come up with the idea of removing it, while giving a 75% store credit to the users who bought it. So, if you have the normal "buffer" feature, you'd get $22.50 in store credit. And so on. I asked a few users in chat, and none of them had an issue with this. +yes. And btw most of the people putting input here are people who probably are tired of buffer and will do anything to get rid of it.
It would be going off the $30 price tag. So, if you bought it at $20, you would be getting $22.50 back.
Then again...you have probably made a crap ton of ECD with buffer...which would most likely exceed the value of your "investment".

Fyi I do beleive a change to buffer is already happening, to lazy to find unknowns thread. Basically it will be str 1 not str 2 which is pretty good.
Although I think this should be done to all kits, +1. Except I don't think it should be a $22.50 coupon because it is a difficult number to work with. Maybe $25 or even $30. Whatever fixes Sg.
I suggested something like this a while ago, +1 balance sg, if we did this, I suggest doing the same for spy, spy is super op if no one has bfr..
