Boats annoy me. They are far to large in quantity in chests. I believe we should decrease the spawning rate of them to make way for other, more useful, items.
+1 I had an SG in which I had 7 boats and 0 swords. Then if you are to smash the boats you get sticks as you mentioned above which are very useful in crafting items. So this is a perfect and amazing suggestion and I'm all for it. Thanks, ~Donkey5k

This suggestion sounds like you want boats to be in teir 2 chests, which is ridiculous. They spawn in teir 1 chests, which means they are supposed to be common in chests. To be in teir 2 chests, the item needs to valuable; boats aren't very valuable lol. Also, if you don't want the boats, don't take them from chests, simple as that.
It isn't that I don't want boats. I want the chances reduced to make SG more challenging. SG 1 relies heavily on boats, more boats = less challenging. No kits game, find a boat, get sticks make a bow or a sword, you're set. Boats should spawn in tier 1, but having 2 boats every 2-3 chests is not challenging at all. I use boats a lot and I think this ain't challenging at all. Reducing the chances of getting a boat will make SG harder, and more fun.
They do spawn in every SG... Also, my suggestion clearly states that there are too many boats. I do not want boats completely removed, I want the chances of them reduced. My suggestion is against the fact that there are too many boats specifically because of SG 1.
You are exaggerating. There aren't 2-3 boats every 2 chests. I don't know how many games you played to come up with that conclusion, but I'm guessing it's not a lot.
Well, that's an average of my experience with it, I'd like to record 2-3 minutes of me looting chests, counting the boats I find. I'll do that tomorrow/after tomorrow
@TheZombieMuffin, I have similar experiences as @7amoodw. I am a little split on this...I wish it would be possible to have different boat spawn chances for different arenas. Arena 1 makes good use of boats, reducing spawn rate there wouldn't be that good IMO. But for SG 2-4, there is hardly any water and boat spawn chance should be decreased.
