Minecraft Name: Nelsin Suggestion: To allow bitcoins to be used to buy donation features. Reason: I heard someone talk about that it was possible but not sure all the details. I know the basic idea of them. Andrewkm could get these and trade them for in real life money on some community/website I believe and use it to fund the server but he could also do giveaways of these bitcoins. Bitcoin prices are the most unstable type of irl currency. So it could be worth 15$ this week and 2$ next week
Or it could be worth$15 this week and $35 next week. Really, I only see this suggestion happening if andrewkm wants to invest in Bitcoins.
And thad be a horrible able idea for he could loose hundreds, when stay a concrete price and constantly increase his money in time.
Really I think it's Andrew choice, since bitcoins are rather unstable, but really, this would make payments almost impossible. He would need an automated system to keep track of what the currency is worth and how many bitcoins you'd need to pay him. And since that changes regularly, things will be very difficult. I just don't see it happening to be honest.

Andrew has already decided on this, at least for the time being. They're too unstable to fund donation features with, but if you're really keen on donating your bitcoins there's a Bitcoin forum medal if you send a small amount of bitcoin to Andrew (which includes a free upgrade to forum gold, a $25 value).

There are many services such as this one, https://bitpay.com/, that offer a service that allows you to set a centralised currency price, such as USD and it will change the bitcoin price according to a certain, or certain exchanges. And then sell them instantly after. The one I listed does cost but there are many free alternatives, I just did not want to spend time looking for one. The only problem may be incorporating it into buycraft.net which may or may not be possible.
