Minecraft Name: Original_Jackson Suggestion: I suggest that auction time limits be cleared up in the rules. Reason: Just today I was eating dinner so I auctioned such as: g1,2,3 in rapid succession and then the final sold in about 1 minute. I was then told not to do this, even though I was previously told by a mod a few months ago I could go 2 minutes between hearing bids, counting bids, etc. Also, I think it needs to be something like the trade ads; You must wait no more than 10 seconds between hearing bids. Any Other Information: N/A Link To This Plugin: N/A
A plug in would be nice but i cant imagine how it would work or that anyone has the time to make one for this purpose. +1 additional suggestion: Add to wiki specifically
Honestly, I think its down to the users discretion, As long as you do call g1,g2,g3 times, then i cant see whats wrong. As long as your not waiting ages between these. This is a good tutorial to read as well: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/how-to-auction-items.98615/#post-582228
Because thats what real life auctions do. They give time for other bidders who are thinking of bidding a little time to think wether they want to bid higher.
I know, its a unwritten rule that most people abide by, Chances are if you dont do it then a Mod or staff member might message you or you might have complaints drawn up against you. To avoid all that hassle you can simply do: g1 g2 g3 sold
@Mission001 I was warned by the ServerOwner about this... I waited one minute or so between the g3 and sold.
Do not extend your auction because you are not happy with the results. Long auctions should be taken to the forums.
He didn't do it because he wasn't happy with results, and what is extended exactly? No specification.
^ exactly. I made it very clear I was eating dinner and I auctioned in the way I did because of it. Not once did I complain or say anything negative about my auction results, and I sold the item immediately.
We are human guys, If we feel a auction is dragging out and we think that i because of certain things happening, we are allowed to question and look into it, We are trying to keep auctions as swift and speedy as possibly. Im sorry you had a bad experiece but im sure the staff in question were looking out for the members interest.
@Mission001 I know and I understand the situation, I just feel that a time might help. We have a trade time limit so I think it could be implemented like that.
