Reason: Economics is the lifeline of this server, and with this plugin, you will be able to auction items quickly, and painlessly. Even though I have played on this server for a short time now, I can't help but be annoyed by the constant "1k hrd" in chat. In addition, wouldn't the two players have to meet to exchange items? This could potentially be dangerous for both sides, not to mention that the buyer could be scammed. I heard an admin say that scamming was allowed to an extent, but I don't know how true this is. The issue with these suggestions is that there are things sold on ECC that will not be compatible with these types of plugins. Such as donation features. Overall, this wouldn't be very handy on ECC, so I'm going to have to hit the "X". -1
People sell donation features thru auction? Or is this not what you meant? I've always wanted an auction plugin on ECC it makes me feel more secure when I bid on things. +1
Yes, people have in the past. Also, after looking further into this plugin, it requires two other plugins to be able to work. One of the plugins has not been updated in over 6 months, and the other seems to be okay. But you can't have one without the other, therefore, this will most likely only cause more problems.
Wait.. This might be the wrong plugin, actually. I was having some issues finding the right one, and I will get right on finding it. @knears2000 , on previous economy servers I have played on, players have auctioned a written book/deed saying that the winner of this auction will receive a $X donation, but I wouldn't really sell donations through an auction plugin. When it comes to an auction, the winner can be too predictable. Personally, I would want to sell a donation directly to the buyer, not through an auction. I'm not saying that an auction plugin would be insecure, because it would be the most secure way of trading, but that you generally plan out who you are going to buy/sell a donation to. Also, @knears2000 , you wouldn't want every single thing to be auctioned through chat, period. This would create way too much spam, possibly more than there is now, and you can auction every item in the game. You could even auction off deeds/permission to use a certain facility(I.E. Pumpkin farm, potato farm, XP farm.) Yeah, actually that's the wrong plugin. I will make a new comment, and change the link above when I find it.
+1/-1 a custom plug in can easily be made. His was just an example. But i feel this would be nice because it would keep auctions from being such a mess. Meaning users can no longer scam/ troll. But i also like the current ecc auction because it gives me the ability to enthuse people to auction. Thats why im 50/50 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
+1 the auctioning system is risky and is quite annoying . a new one would be great if you can find a good plugin
Plots, donation features, towns, donation services, and player heads probably wouldn't be compatible with most auction plugins.
Player heads are auctionable. You can't be lazy and have to auction everything, you will have to sell some things manually.

Personally, I really enjoy having user made auctions. Its sort of a skill, really, that users prefect after a few auctions. Its also less 'painless' than a plugin because only 1 auction can be held at a time with a plugin. Another thing is -- with our current auctioning systems, you can auction: Hugs. Potatos named 'Patato'. Melonswords. Donation features. 1k 'special' dirt (ofc its not really special). And many other fun things thay other wise wouldn't be possible with a plugin. I guess you could say that with our current auctioning systems you get lots of scamming and confusion between users. To be honest, this gives ECC a bit of flavor (no, just me?). Overall, I have to say -1.
@miner1975 , you haven't used craftbay yet! You can auction renamed items, and the name will be italicized. I guess you can always use the current auction system to sell donations and such. Also, you flat out admitted that the current system is congested. In addition, how exactly is 2 or more auctions at once a good thing?? With the auction plugin above, there is one auction at a time. If anyone tries to start an auction while auction #1 is occurring, it will be added to the waiting list. Immediately after auction #1 is over, auction #2 will begin, and so on and so forth.
@epicpanda314 : If I am auctioning a town, unlimited erepairs, perms to a farm, or 10 doublechests of dirt.. can I ignore certain people's bids? You know, the people I believe might be "trouble". Also: I saw this when looking at the plug-in: Fun facts: If items are handed over to a player with a full inventory, they will be dropped where he is standing. So, if I am in SG and win... do I lose what I won, since I can't take it out of SG? Thanks for your responses.
