Minecraft Name: bandgeek12345 Suggestion: better enforcement of the rules in in auction chat. "/ch auc" Reason: every day people break the rules of auction chat and nothing is said. Any Other Information: section 4 clause 5 bullet point 2 By starting an auction, you are committed to sell that item. this states that people should not be able to "wait" for the price to get up where they want it as most do. this also states that the auction host is committed to sell the item. too many people put an item up just to take it back down because they didnt reach a good price. section 4 clause 5 bullet point 7 Do not extend your auction because you are not happy with the results. Long auctions should be taken to the forums. this states that auctions have to be handled in a timely manner. ive personally seen auctions in exess of 10 minutes + section 4 clause 5 bullet point 8 There is to be no “mystery auctions” - all items in auction must be specified exactly as they are, and must follow the rules for renamed items and any other trading rule regarding how to be specific about what your item is. this states that items have to be described as what item they are selling, and other features of the item including renaming. ive seen a "nutella" auction on multiple occasions the past few days.. and it takes people complaining in global for any rules to be enforced. the rules are there. why doesn't anyone enforce them regularly? why doesnt anyone follow them? i love auction chat. i love the rush of winning an auction. its all being ruined by people who dont follow rules and people who dont enforce rules. Link To This Plugin: no plugin. just the rules. http://www.ecocitycraft.com/wiki/index.php?title=Server_Rules#Clause_5_-_Auction_Channel
The auctions I believe are what you are talking about here completely follow the rules, except for long ones.
Almost every auction I see follows rules. Sometimes I can miss the chat during peak times. Trying to watch 5 or 6 chats at once isn't very easy. If you do see someone breaking rules however, You can always file a complaint with evidence.
By starting an auction, you are committed to sell that item. You may not cancel an auction after you have heard the first bid. Even though it could be worded better, They do not have to sell the item if they haven't heard the bid. I think that rule could be slightly edited to be a little more clearer, Apart from that, I haven't seen long auctions unless they are still going up in price and mystery auctions are a little more common, but are dealt with most of the time in game.
