Minecraft Name: a18greek18 Suggestion: Add the ability to appeal or challenge /warns Reason: Players who receive very poor warnings like the one shown below get discouraged and deserve the warning to be taken away. Things like this just push players away from the server. (Btw mods you probably shouldn't edit out the screenshots since they're actual proof of a poor /warn and therefore relevant to the suggestion.) Any Other Information: Got warned: <mod-edit> Didn't get warned: Link To This Plugin/Is this a custom addition?: Just a simple application that could be created to be forum PM'd to certain staff members
I understand that you didn't want the screenshots to be mod-edited, but they did have vulgar language present, so I've removed it. In regards to the suggestion just file a staff feedback form - does the trick if you provide enough evidence
Clause 2 - Vulgarity Inappropriate and vulgar language is not allowed. This includes anything put on signs, said in chat, written in books, renamed to on items (see Section 3 Clause 2.1), spelt out in blocks (see Section 2, Clause 2.1), or any other way of communicating. Occasional mild to moderate vulgarities that are not directed at anyone (such as "slip-ups" or saying them in the incorrect chat by accident), self-censorship of a swear word or abbreviations that may imply a swear word (eg. WTF?) are allowed unless it is directed at another user. Repeated or excessive swearing, and especially vulgar language dirercumstance.cted at anyone, is not tolerated under any ci Racist language or prejudicial language of any sort falls under the vulgarity rule, and is considered a very serious offence, punishment of which may not warrant a warning before being given a ban. While 3pic was getting pretty close to breaking the rules, saying 'shit' is fine as long as it doesn't get too excessive or is directed at a user.
You realize that there isn't really a higher authority than the one that handles staff complaints, right? Even if it were a system specifically to appeal warns you would just get the same answer.
Are they biased though? The screenshots of what you said were edited out, but of what 3pic said wasn't. Meaning you can't use the fact 3pic didn't get a /warn as actual evidence of bias.
I think just file the staff complaint. Yeah, a mod isn't going to get their head chopped off over a bad warn but it adds to the pot when it comes to everything that mod is doing. And no one likes their colleagues looking at their sloppy work I'd hope. If it were me and I had done such a poor job and had that filed I'd be ashamed and do better. But crummy warns aren't really going to create waves regardless of how you report them.
This is already added since this pertains to "Staff complaint" feature In Ban Appeals and Complaints.
