Minecraft Name: TheBluePickle (previously known as pokeashpoke). Suggestion: My suggestion is that we simply allow users to spectate Survival Games games, as you can probably infer from the title. If you were at the Survival Games board and saw every game had already started, you could click one of the signs to spectate the game. This would mitigate the extreme boredom that dawns upon me when I stare at the Survival Games sign that says "ingame." Once the sign was clicked, you would teleport about 20 blocks or so above spawn. You would be able to fly and stay still in the air like in creative mode. In your hotbar would be two items: a compass and a clock. The compass would make a menu pop up that showed a list of player's heads currently alive in the game. If a head was clicked, you would be immediately teleported to that player. If the clock was clicked, you would leave the match and be teleported back to the Survival Games Board. However, there is the problem of ghosting. To prevent this, I suggest that we make a new rule to prevent it from happening. While I am not on the wiki team and have no experience whatsoever of making rules, I think it could go something like this: Ghosting is revealing information (As a dead/spectating player) to players that are living that they otherwise wouldn’t know such as the location of players, ores, or what kind of items a player has. Reason: I think this would be a great addition to Eco City Craft. Not only would this get rid of boredom when waiting for Survival Games matches, it would also help catch hackers. Currently, obtaining evidence for a hacker on this server can be quite difficult. You must first get to the player you suspect is hacking, while avoiding everyone else who wants to kill you. Then you must, after starting your recording, have him land a few suspicious and sketchy hits on you. Additionally, if someone kills you and you suspect him of hacking but didn't have any time to press the record button, then you can spectate him and record him landing sketchy hits on other players. Other Information: Like I said above, a ghosting rule would have to be added. Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?: I'm pretty sure the correct answer to this question is N/A.
In theory, this could be interesting... however: How would you enforce that? All you need is a Skype call. As evidence from outside sources (like Skype) isn't valid in complaints, you couldn't even report your own 'partner' helping you. Such a rule cannot be enforced properly.
I mean this does sound interesting, but if anyone needs help getting to other players then I could help their as I have the experience to do so. Plus if you suspect someone you can tell a SA or Jamie and he will spectate them in game. I have the experience now so I can tell when I see a hacker, as I have still several reports I have not filed because I don't want to take up staffs time. Also we could ask Jamie if he can put something out on all players on the server to detect this, something better than just the anticheat.
Yes their is, there's always a way on this thing. All it takes is work, I can explain this more when I get on my computer.
You just now noticed that? That was posted on August 11th, I asked Jamie about it and he said that he doesn't want to do that its to much work and so on.
Did you really just +1 your own thread with your alt account? -1 Ghosting would be too hard to enforce and there's not really much to watch when SG is dead. I would rather have the developers make a new game instead of adding spectating to this one.
In almost every other server, with SG you're aloud to pass off information to your buddy in a skype call. It doesn't change the fact that to win the fight, you need to out PvP your opponent or gather better gear. My friend telling me that my opponent has full iron doesn't change anything and for that reason, I think this should be implemented and passing on info to your buddy should be aloud. Oh and I almost forgot, it makes it way easier to catch hackers. +1
