Minecraft Name: Red_Pandaz_13 Suggestion: For trade signs that belong to you that contain money or xp that you put in that there is a command such as /add so you could do something like "/add $3000" or "/add 3000 xp" so you don't have to remake the sign over every time you want to add money or xp. Reason: Save times and is more convenient. Other Information: Nope. Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?: I honestly don't know. I never use mods or plugins.
To be completely honest, just remaking the signs would be much, much easier than having Jamie write something this complex. It kinda sounds like a ton of work and could cause lots of possible exploits/errors.
Really, ECC needs to revamp the trade signs. Of course shifting from them to something else will be a painstaking process, so we need to at least modify them (I don't know how, I'm not the genius here) so that we can finally sell items with NBT data once again. Perhaps make a trade sign interface to open where one can modify money/exp/stock.
Honestly switching to a different system wouldn't be much worse than updating trade signs. They have many, many issues.
I agree with stoler. I remember when potions, spawn eggs, etc. were able to be placed in trade signs. I might be naive to the reason why they were disabled, but the trade sign interface just seems lacking recently. In addition, maybe a command to easily remove a certain amount of items instead of destroying the sign and having an inventory full of items
That was possible due to potions and spawn eggs working off of metadata, not NBT data. Once we have skyblock working and stable, I've got a personal todo list of investigating trade signs properly. (After SG... which is after creative...) Realistically, messing with trade signs is a horrible idea. Sorry.
