Minecraft Name: @CrazySwagMaster1 (I really need to change that. Having swag in my name is becoming embarassing. Suggestion: Create an automated alert to say: "Entity wipe in 10s! Pick things off the ground". Or something similar. Reason: I've seen too many people lose things to this and it's becoming an issue to the economy. Most recently this has effected @DiamondDesire Any Other Information: N/A Link To This Plugin/Is this a custom addition?: Custom addition but I can't imagine it would take too much work.
http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/suggestion-add-item-butcher-warning.132336/ Explains why it isn't possible.
I used to/sometimes still do play on a server; it gives you a 60, 30 and 10 second clear lag warning, which is nice. Not sure why this server doesn't when the worst thing you can lose there is an item worth a few dollars, but here a eff 7/msword is worth close to $200. Logic...
This is exactly it! We have some great minds on the dev team, brilliant even. But the MOMENT something comes up with vanilla they're like mc hammer and keep yelling "CAN'T TOUCH THIS" This includes hoppers, pistons, and now this.
Hoppers with the dupe bug Ik sure there's a way around it, but I can live without them I guess. Not sure why this isn't added, though
The hoppers are another point. But everyone keeps wondering "why can't we keep people?!" They can't get anything they want done! That is why. This is one of those things that will help.
+1 because yeah I would love this but -1 because I have just recently clicked someone linking a thread (In game global not frank ) that this has already been looked at and Jamie said its not possible
Take for example @Chundi_Jr 's situation... She has a massive tree farm and the entity wipe completely destroys the purpose of her farm due to all the wood getting cleaned
-1, we really don't need to take our developers away from the currently more important hub implementation just for an entity wipe fix that can easily be solved by chests. I've lost a melon sword to an entity wipe, I still think it shouldn't be implemented. Maybe one day, when Jamie finds a way to implement it, but at the time being not only is it not needed, but it should not be put on an already large bucket list of things to be done in the next month or so.
So your sole objection, just to clarify, is focused on now? This purpose of this suggestion, like any, isn't to get things done immediately. It's to brainstorm and throw some ideas around. Sure, Jamie shouldn't drop something as important as the hub. But that doesn't mean this suggestion should not be implemented with some time. As for it "not being needed" why don't you pay diamond and all of the other's who have lost tools, nstars, etc due to this issue.
