So this is my idea to create a "Stock Market" using market shops who agree on selling "stock" in their shops. They use this money to stock their own shoos and then the total profit of each day is the next days stock price (divided by the amount of stock they want and a 10% cut to let them make a profit. The next day people who hold stock can choose to sell it for either a profit or if it wasn't profitable then for less. Ex. Say I bought 10 stocks for $100 each in station 57. The owner would use that 1000 to help stock the shop. At the end of that day the shop made say $10000. The owner would keep $1000 and choose to sell 9 stock at a $1000 each. The next day I could sell stock for 1000 each at an 8000 profit and keep 1 stock left over. Then the process could be repeated. The stock price could also go down and I wouldn't sell that day. The only way this could work is the owner must be trustworthy and they would have to be able to create an item called Station 57 Stock. This could only be sold here because it must be a special item. I don't know if that is possible but it seems like a good idea. The owner could also choose the % to take from each days earnings as 10% is a pretty low number. Tell me what you think.
Let me get this straight: essentially, you want an option whereas people can invest in shops? I like it. Maybe create a separate portal in the spawn that centers the stock exchange for shops? Someone made a post about adding a stock market to ECC, though this idea seems more realistically achievable.
Well, technically I guess a shop owner, or any person on ecc could make a contract with you, and list detailed terms about profits, cuts, dividends, and such.
