Not Sure If this is a Bug bit Nicit told me to file one anyway. So I tried buying stocks during the correct time to buy them and it kept giving me the same message. I tried to buy Stock NEPQ, RMI, GLBL, PCON, VTVT, EACQU, and NK. All Gave me the same message. And if you went to your stock trader and put for the quote NEP- IT will show that NEPQ is a real stock to buy but you cant get it. Thank you for your time
It seems to mean that the stock isn't in or installed into the database of available, usable stocks in the Stock Trader. [Edit: this is what I think.]
From what I can see, all of your companies haven't been released to the public yet. When a company starts to share its equity to the public, it starts with an IPO, or Initial Public Offering. Here are 2 sites where you can check that out: http://www.nasdaq.com/markets/ipos/ http://www.renaissancecapital.com/ipohome/pricings/today.aspx NEPQ: I assume you're referring to NEPG, which will be released on July 31st (Friday). NK: Same issue - releasing July 28th (Tomorrow). VTVT, EACQU, PCON: Same issue - releasing July 30th (Thursday). GLBL, RMI: Same issue - releasing July 31st. I'm not sure why they have been added to the Stock Trader. That is either administration or yahoo finance. Maybe whoever added the companies just wanted a head start.
