Wow... I can't believe a game that has crowd funded $85 million has not been mentioned much around here. I have bought my game package and,, its funny how I already feel like I have gotten my money back. Simply flying around gently or shooting NPC's or other players is just insanely fun. Plus I am really looking forward to the new FPS module gameplay soon to be released. --The game comes with a ship combat combat simulator --and FPS component which players can fight in arenas or even board other players ships out in space. --and open-universe made for traders, pirates, mercs, police, miners and much more! --and finally a full out single player story mode called Squadron 42 (with motion capture and Hollywood level cinematics.) They are developing this game much differently then other studios around the world as they actually want to involve the community. Weekly updates/monthly updates you name it. Just wondering if anyone else has checked out this game yet? Personally I would say that there is already enough content in the game to warrant the $40 price. All of the extra content coming down the pipes from the multiple studios working on this game around the world is like icing on the cake. Be warned though... This game is not for light/low power computers or laptops. I personally recommend at least a Nvidia GTX 970 graphics card for an optimal experience. The shooting mechanics and flight are aimed at simulation so there won't be that many COD no-scopes going around. Its complex and if you like complexity in a Space Sim then come check it out!
This game is the original pie in the sky. Its everything any PC gamer wants... its a shooter, its a space ship game, its an open world, its an MMO, its everything... ...and as with most games that are everything, it will probably end up being nothing.
