On the topic of mods and supermods, the only one that I know is MoofinK, although Ike may be able to help you on that. Although, I do know the first Game Admins: Wewinagain, TKick, Kukelekuuk00 and Jetscat.

 

Well, the word "good" is a very vague word, but I will assume that by "good" you mean involved. Really, what makes a "good" staff member is not being active, or doing the most complaints/ban appeals/LWCs, it is the fact that you strive to make the community a better place and do that over the economic gain of yourself.

Moderators like Jetscat let's say (although there are many more) did amazing things for the community like at last Christmas when he did the "Jetsanta" event, and delivered presents to EVERY house in the mainworld who was signed up for the event and had a chimney, he spent countless (I think 15+) hours doing this and in turn, gave away almost everything that he owned.

 

Over $9000!!

 

To all staff:
How much time do you guys actually spend on personal interest? Like farming, SG, etc. I'm always in awe of how much the team gives back to the community, and am wondering when they actually take a breather.

 

To all staff:
On what criteria do you choose new staff?

 

Depends on the day. I myself on slow days might only spend 1/3 or less of my time on the server that day working on mod stuff and furthering the community. On more busy days I get on the server, and am helping users till I get off however many hours later that is.

The rule of thumb I have with personal interest is. Staff related stuff comes first. Personal economic gain or what not is a second priority. If working on staff duties take all day, well then that's how it is.

 

Sometime in the near future I intend on donating enough for a player tag. I've weighed my options and have decided I like "The Shiz" the best but I'm not sure if that'll be acceptable. Could I use that, or should I try something else?

That was way back before forums even existed, however Jetscat was a mod when I joined, and he was one of the best

GameAdmins didnt actually exist for a long time, and were added some time last year.

A good staff member is someone who can interact with the users, and have fun. That is all I am able to supply.

I tend to moderate most of the time I play, which I can do while mining, or farming (Thanks to skylexia of course . I always consider the users first, and myself second.

With this do you mean when do we think we need more staff? If so, it is decided upon how many are on at a time, and how much moderating is actually done.

 

Mine is currently 1.8mil, with a few assets I can quickly sell.
