Staff complaints and ban appeals

    i feel that staff complaints and appeals should be handled on the forums for everyone to see just like a normal player. It will really change a lot of things. Why should normal players have to be humiliated in front of the whole server for there stuff ups but staff get handled via PM. Would be good to change to this

    Staff complaints often deal with abuse of power situations and what not, if every time something like that happened a public complaint were to be made, we'll look at it like this, The staff are the leaders of the server in a sense, public complaints can make you lose respect for them, and they reauire the respect a little more than normal users. Along with in many situations most players shouldn't know about some of the things that happen.

    No, no, hang on. There are a lot of benefits to staff complaints being publicized. For instance, users wanting to apply for staff can see where others went wrong. I think this would greatly help the server. +3

    All Complaints should be private,
    If the staff handling the complaint need to obtain more evidence, they can contact other people via pm.

    or

    All complaints should be moderated,
    Meaning all posts that are posted after the topic should be hidden until mod approval, then people don't come in a give their opinion on something which has nothing to do with them but you can also accept evidence.

    We also need a prefix on completed apps, with Denied, Resolved, Banned etc

    You can pretty much go through the complaint section and find a complaint on anyone, but people dont tend to look at the complaint, they see the complaint and automatically think they were guilty because the complaint was filed, lot of people get judged.

    The whole section needs a overhaul but i went slightly off topic xD

    -1 to having Staff Complaints in the complaint section if public to all
    +1 to having Staff Complaints in with the complaint section if hidden and dealt with by higher ups and adding a prefix to the topic after closure.

    I think Mission proposed a great idea. I wouldn't mind privatizing complaints just for the simple flaming and irrelevant posts we get on a regular basis. The prefix after the topic is a great way to stay organized and to not jump to conclusions before reading the complaint.
    However, when they are dealt with and locked, it may be a good idea to make them public so we are able to look through a users history when it comes to being able to trust a user etc.

    I can see where this can have a lot of flaws, but, I agree that the whole section needs an overhaul.

    EDIT: Forgot to mention staff complaints :p

    I don't think staff complaints should be publicized. There is not really anything beneficial for having that happen besides loads of troll rating and a lack of respect for staff that are complained about. It should stay how it is.
