The shops will, as other ones, have closer proximity to the entrance. We are aware we are changing things around, however getting this will result in you being able to start close! noted on the thread 11:59pm EST
Can I edit out a current bid if I no longer wish to bid? Or when I bid, is it locked in and cannot be voided?
I would hope it would be locked if you are the lead bidder. Otherwise you could game the system for a friend. You bid 50k, I bid 2 million, then no one bids more than me (since you are not allowed to bid lower) and I void my bid before the end leaving you with the default winning bid.
Based on past auctions, they would forfeit their old shop.... don't really know much about the specifics though.

I assume you mean bid on both shops and win both. You'll be charged for both, keep the latter of the bids, and shop gets reauctioned. Basically if you want to waste a lot of money, go for it. We will discuss this with the owners after payment has been taken. When transferring you get 4 weeks of rent, so you'll have to work fast. Again, we'll discuss with winners. Edit: you do however get 1 free week to move.

What are we doing with the auctions now that the market is getting re-done? Can we postpone them until after the design contest?
They won't be postponed. Whoever wins the auctions will still have the same spot they would if we waited or not. The build also lasts longer than auction.
