Spawners not Working?

    So I found a zombert spawner in the main world.. Is it set so that they don's spawn? Or are they supposed to?

    Mobs do not spawn in the main world, so you will not have mobs spawning from it.

    Ok thanks. So other than silk touch they are pointless?

    You can't pick up a spawner with silk touch that was removed...the patch after silk touch came out, if I remember right.
