Hi, Are there any info pages concerning spawn eggs; how they are used on ECC etc...? I've been searching the site with no luck. I've been enjoying playing as have my two boys. One of my boys was lucky and got two spawn eggs from voting, but before I could find anything out about them on ECC he used one and lost it when he left it at his home. Luckily I learned a bit more before he used the other one. We were able to get help naming it so he could keep it.
The eggs basically can be used for placing a certain mob wherever you want it to be, or selling to others in the market. Nothing much else, since pets are donation features. As for a page itself, there really isn't one, sorry.
There's no page specifically for ECC as spawn eggs are a vanilla feature, but I recommend the minecraft wiki for help. http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Spawn_eggs In my opinion they mainly serve as a status symbol and aren't really used, unless some players would be willing to spend about 30k for rare eggs to get a one-time use out of them. That's just it. My son was able to keep the wolf he got out of a spawn egg since someone helped him name it. Does that mean we can do that with all spawn eggs, is there a limit, and how does that compare to the pet perk you can get when you donate money? I know how spawn eggs work in general, but ECC has its own rules for them. Just trying to learn what we can and can't do.
Pet perks can't be killed and will follow you. Spawn eggs are regular vanilla mobs. We limit those to 50 per area and they can be killed.
Also, if you get a hostile mob egg, those can only be spawned in the mining world. If attempting to spawn them in the main worlds, the egg is used up and the mob doesn't spawn.
I think it does need instructions as they despawn if not named, unlike vanilla. That's an expensive mistake which isn't documented anywhere. You can stop them being killed with town flags?

I don't always read the forums so we didn't see the reward thread. I also didn't fully understand what the butcher thing was until I saw someone talking about it. It would help us noobs if there was a small document about the do's and don't of spawn eggs and what the limits are. As a side note, the nether stars don't always show up when voting while off or online.
