Introducing: SouthernHill! I was looking to place my president town to the east of slayhill, but I found out the hard way there was another town in the way. So I travelled south. I found a 200x200 region mostly filled in with stonebrick. At first I thought it was a town, but in fact it was unprotected. This SouthernHill was born. I will be making a portal for my residents to use to get to slayhill once I get the money. Builders stay tuned for a block placing job offer I guarantee will pay well.
Congratulations on figuring out how to get a portal in that area - It has been awesome what you have done with your town. If I could have figured out a way to claim the towns I owned I would have never left a great neighbor like you.
Thank you for your kind words. I will miss having you as a neighbor. Come for a visit sometime when the portal is up and running.
Since it has been a long time since I posted any updates, I thought I should let you all know what has been going on. Fall is my busy time IRL, sports, school, ect. so little time for Minecraft. I have saved up almost all the money for a portal now. But before I put in the portal, I am going to make sure I figure out the layout of both towns. My first step, completed tonight, was rebuild the rail system slay hill side. I demolished the rules board to make space for the rails. I will put rules information upstairs in my office. Next I am going to build a train station southernhill side, and move the tracks around to fit it. Once that is done, I will finally know where to position the portal. I currently am planning on removing the fishing area and tree farm from slayhill and moving them to southernhill. In their place will stand a shop area, and a vastly expanded pump/melon farm. Eventually, I will be adding a pvp arena, a few McMMO trainers, and a vault (for my personal use, gotta get my stuff moved out of the barn) to southernhill. When I start selling perms again, I will sell perms to both towns in one purchase. On that last note. My thinking has been that I would get everything done, and throw a massive two year anniversary/grand re-opening party in the beginning of June. The happy problem with that is that I will be busy with IRL things like graduation and the U.S. Open coming to my home town, so I am planning on holding a MASSIVE grand re-opening/two year anniversary/independence day party on the 4th or 5th of July. Everyone on the server is invited. In January, I might put on a small preview day if I am happy with my progress. That is all for now Red
Update 12/03 All rails laid down between the two towns. The platforms at SouthernHill have been completed, I'll finished the station tommorrow. I am going to wait a while on the portal because 1 I need 10 more K 2. There are 10 spots still left in towns5. So I will wait and get a front row portal in towns6
Smart man. I waited like a month to get a front row portal for La Ciudad. I can pass you that 10k too if you'd like cuz I'm a cool guy like that.
I agree, that is a smart move on your part - makes it so much easier for your town members. Nice offer Steve - sometimes you show off your shizzle (be careful with that though)
January Update: We have a town Portal, towns 6, front row, coal side. Its a great location near the portals to the massive Atlantis underwater town, and the portal to the hub town for the Zodiac Nation! Here is a picture of the portal room. This is a picture of the train station, the rails lead to slayhill. My plans for the future, 1. Finish the Slayhill farms. 1a. Finish moving all my stuff out of the Slayhill farm, except for my beloved pet donkey of course 2. Finish the windmill build project, the train station build project 3. Tear down the slayhill tree farm. 4. Build a 100x200 tree farm in Southernhill. 5. Get a warp and pvp arena for Southernhill. 6. Lay out plots in Southernhill 7. Build a fishing area in Southernhill 8. Sell plots perms and storage units Phew thats a lot
Awesome job waiting on your portal for a prime spot! Now quit gloating and showing off, according to that last post, you have a lot of work to do - no time for chit-chat
Update 3-08 Tree Farm and Pump/Mellon farm destroyed to make room for bigger and better versions 3-09 Floor Plan for the new farm laid out. When complete, the farm will house 41 rows 150 blocks long of pumpkins/melons alternating from floor to floor. So that means that a max of 6,150 fruit will grow at one time, earning $2,460 per floor pumpkin and $10,147 for melon blocks (if using msword).
