    I've noticed something very peculiar, and rather illogical in my opinion on ECC.

    I've noticed that SG makes more than mining, which makes more than farming. Before I get everyone yelling at me, "I paid for my kits! I should make that much!" I'd like to show why it doesn't make much sense.

    Moneywise, it goes like this - SG: $30,000 per hour - Mining: $20,000 per hour - Farming: $14,000 per hour.

    Time to break it down by the numbers;

    Farming costs:
    • 1 Melon Sword - $1,000,000
    • Farm permissions - $10,000
    • Extcommands+ - $600,000 at current donation rate of $6k/USD
    Total: $1,610,000
    Effort Score (1 being the least, 10 being the highest) - 2

    Mining Costs:
    • 1 Efficiency 7 Pickaxe - $750,000
    • Pyro+ - $180,000 at $6k/USD
    • Fly+ - $720,000 at $6k/USD
    • Extcommands+ - $600,000 at $6k/USD
    • Water/+ - $90,000 to $180,000 at $6k/USD
    Total: $2,340,000 to $2,430,000
    Effort Score: 8

    SG Costs:
    • Buffer++ - $540,000 at $6k/USD
    • MIQ++ - $450,000 at $6k/USD
    • Perfect Fit++ - $360,000 at $6k/USD
    • Hunter++ - $450,000 at $6k/USD
    • Spy++ - $270,000 at $6k/USD
    Total: $2,070,000
    Effort Score: 8

    As can be seen, the amount of money needed to pay for these in order to make the highest profit goes Farming < SG < Mining. Yet, the earnings for some reason go Farming < Mining < SG.

    I will say, do you need every little feature for mining? No, but you should have them to make the most profit. The same goes for SG. You don't need hunter or Perfect Fit, but if you want to make the highest profit, you should.

    Although mining costs only $300,000 more than SG, the profit margins in between the two are insane. Mining makes only $20,000 per hour, while SG makes upwards into the $30,000, and the best make well over that. Both mining and SG require the same amount of effort to make the money, so why is it that SG makes so much more, and costs less to use? I find it baffling that SG, a mini game that was originally just for fun, as become the money making powerhouse of ECC, something that it should have never become in my opinion.

    Most of you are probably asking yourselves, "Why hasn't he talked about farming at all?". That's a very good question. I myself farm, and I think it makes what it should. Would I like to make more? Hell yeah, but the amount of effort required is so low, and it only costs a fraction of what the others cost, (Almost $1,000,000 less than mining), so it makes what it should.

    I personally think mining and farming should stay the same profit wise, but SG, SG needs a lot of help. The winnings should be cut in half, and make the best of the best make $25,000 tops an hour.

    But hey, that's just my opinion.

    Ok, 2 things. First of all, farming is lazy money, pretty much no work needed. Just watch tv and chop away. Second of all... you can use ext commands, and etc... for ANYTHING. Sg kits are exclusive to sg. Out of sg, they are useless. But you can use ext commands+ to do many things other than farming and mining.

    You can't always make $30,000 a hour no matter how good you are at SG, numerous factors decide how much you make. For a start it's got to be on- peak, for 12 hours a day there physically aren't enough players online let alone sg to make this kind of money. Secondly, although you make find kits to be super powerful they still take some skill to use, you can't just buy these 5 kits and instantly begin to dominate in SG. Finally, if the server is lagging at all or you are lagging personally then making figures like this per hour isn't going to happen.

    SG is too situational whereas I can consistently make $14,000 per hour farming no matter how skilled I am, no matter how laggy the server is and no matter what time of day it is.

    Nor can people mine when the server is too laggy, correct? Either way, the average amount made is much higher than mining, I can tell you that.
    Can I use a melon sword to PvP effectively? I think not.

    Though, that is a good point.

    Yes, but a melon sword is simply a tiny sliver of the melon sword cost setup. Also, you can mine if there's a bit of server lag. With a tiny bit of lag, sg is completely turned inside out.

    Can you mine effectively? Not as effectively as you can, the same goes for SG. The fact of the matter is, the conditions of the server affect both in their own respects.

    In different scales though. A bit of lag throws off everything in sg. Hit registration, potions, chests, everything.

    The same goes for mining, the ores get thrown off as to when they appear as well.

    You can still mine though. I've mined while there was horrendous sg lag. Try shooting someone when they are teleporting 40 blocks at a time. Good luck.

    Not to mention people have quit farming in the past due to lag, it's not only SG that is affected.

    Farm perms are 10k nowadays? I got lifetime to a 8 floor farm for 1k a month ago

    I sold farm perms to a giant farm for 3k :p I think you should lower the price for farm perms.

    Here's my personal take.

    Reduce SG prices by 25%, buff farming by 15%, and keep mining the same. That way, all moneymaking methods are equal (around 18-22.5k per hour) and no one is unhappy.

    Besides the above, I don't know what to do at this point. I've just dealt with it the way it is, sadly. But, this thread is well constructed and holds some important numerical information.

    No one? Do you mean everyone? xD

    And no, everyone would not be happy. For example, someone could say "I bought the eff7 for faster money, now melon sword owners can be lazy and make just as much". See? There's no easy solution.

    I have to agree with you there. Mining and farming should remain, however, SG should/has to be nerfed.
