hey guys, me and my sister are arguing about which uses more download skype or minecraft. i say skype she's says minecraft. My sister's on skype for like 8 hours a day while im on minecraft (multiplayer) for 1 hour a day. i want to know wat u guys think and if someone could get some information and put them both side by side .
skype uses 3-4 kb/s and minecraft uses more as your client constantly sends data to the server and whenever you do something ingame the client sends a bit of extra data. so my guess is that minecraft uses more internet bandwidth in 1 hour then skype does in 8 hours
the thing that uses most internet bandwidth is most of the time your internet browser and maybe you watching vids or something
.. I think he actually means which program is used more - Minecraft or Skype. Otherwise he wouldn't have compared the amount of hour(s) his sister and himself spend on each program. I'd say Skype overall - Just because Skype was out before Minecraft so therefore the amount of users that use it over Minecraft and the amount of time [just because no one likes to keep opening and closing their "communication programs"] would be Skype. ie. You'd always on Skype for more reasons than Minecraft. Minecraft is just a game - Targetted at only Minecraft players. Skype is a VOIP program - Targetted at ALL users who uses VOIP [Which far surpasses the amount of users that play Minecraft.]
