So remember skyblock? Yeah when's that coming out? I'm aware I'm just going to get the "We're working on it" If you're working on it, proof? I'm getting fed up with waiting, why should I wait for this skyblock to come out instead of just going to a different server. The longer this takes the more players you're going to lose. Thanks, zBulldawg
This is true how ever they never give etas its how its been for the last few years soon could mean a week a year or more.
I don't think that skyblock is their number one priority right now, correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe there are bugs that still need to be worked out before they really get into skyblock stuff. So you'll just have to remain patient. And like JW said, there are never etas, just like Jamie keeps saying over and over again.
This can be true, but the development team need to work out all the bugs that deteriorate the quality of gameplay before they add a new gamemode. I don't know for sure if they're still working on bugs though, but even if they were working on skyblock, it might take a little while if they plan on customizing everything to fit the ECC style, which is usually what they do.
I understand where you're coming from but these things take time. Why should you not go to another server ? Well first off the ECC staff works really hard at perfecting the economy and balancing things out. If they haven't released it yet it's because it's just simply not ready for the public. They want to do their bests to prevent glitches/dupes/exploits. You will find these on MOST servers out there. I have tested and spent a lot of time across most servers and have fair enough experience to say that most of them are rushing through all the important stuff. Economy's constantly crash because money hungry owners rush things and don't care about making their servers top shape. Most servers based on factions, you'll find large amounts of hackers and glitching players which ruins the game play for most and attracts a really toxic and damaging community. That isn't what this server is based on, in fact it's far from it. This is a great community full of good characters. I promise you, let them take as much time as they need to perfect it. It will go a lot farther than a server that is rushed, which happens 90% of the time. Just be patient simply. The wait will be well worth it, dev @JamieSinn is the best developer I have ever witnessed in ANY Minecraft community. The staff do excellent work. @andrewkm cares about the community, he cares about the unique feel you get playing here and understands the importance of the taking the time. You will not find a staff like this anywhere else.
Everyone needs a break my dude. It's good for some R&R to release some stress and tension if anything it'll benefit the process as he'll come back ready to go hard.
Andrew isn't even the owner anymore, well yeah I'm sure he still helps but his main focus is just to keep the systems online (hence why he is called a systems administrator). Jamie is the one mainly developing, he's working tirelessly to fix everything that needs to be fixed on ECC, he's and incredible developer and needs time, Patients is key here, Meanwhile, why don't you try playing ECC's gamemodes while waiting? SG is pretty fun if you're into that, or just try and gather money and develop towns. There are plenty of things you could possibly do while you wait.
Currently we have two major points that we need to clear up before we can even touch skyblock. 1. Permissions - We currently are using a legacy system for permissions, the problem with this is that it's not been updated since it was initially made, even with our internal upgrades. Due to this, it's having problems with server tick timing, and not being able to process things as fast as is required. Hence causing issues in other worlds like the end, mining and nether. We are currently investigating solutions to this, and we are working on resolving it. 2. Final bug check - We need the server to be running at 100% before we add another server into the mix. We currently have a 100% workload, adding another server (and even possibly a lobby) will push it to 200% (or even 300%). These two things are on top of the 1.12 upgrade. My current todo list is as follows: 1. 1.12 Upgrade 2. Permissions 3. Bug check 4. Skyblock planning 5. Core abstraction to extend our core features onto other servers 6. Skyblock customization 7. Bug Testing 8. Release of skyblock
