We will need some more info of what exactly happened to cause you to die, when you say it "glitched" what exactly happened, along with this, do you have a rough time/date of when it happened, try and write down a step by step guide of what you did. A small tip though, if you do find yourself falling off your island, quickly type /is. This will instantly teleport you to you're island spawn, so you will die, but your stuff won't fall off the edge, and you'll be able to collect it all when you respawn. I can supply you with some things to get you started again, such as some water/lava buckets, seeds, saplings, and some blocks, just send me a message when you're next ingame.
Mobs don't push you they just walk straight through you, only other thing could be a hostile mob attacking you which could push you off.
