Greetings, I understand the basics on making a sign. I just want clarification of a few things after the sign is made, to make sure I am making the most out of my signs. I believe the next few statements to be true. After I make my sign and people start using it, I have only two ways to remove my profit: 1) I can break the sign. 2) I can right click the sign. Once the sign is made, the only way to add items to the sign to be sold is to break it and remake it with more items in my inventory. --- I just thought of this. I have not tried it yet, but for items that have colons in their itemdb number, like leaves, does this cause an issue if you are making the signs and are holding different leaves? I know I have some leaves that have the same description (none), are labelled OAK LEAVES, but have different itemdb numbers. Thanks for any help/tips you can provide.
You can right click the sign with the item in the sign to refill it, this only doesn't work with exp/money. You can add metadata values with a period. so Oak leaves. (18:4) would be 18.4
Thank you for the responses. I have tried/experimented with what you both said, and that has helped a lot. I do not know why right clicking to add did not work for me before. Most likely a PEBCAK error. Again, thank you both.
Well, you can only add if the stack in your hand is bigger than the amount you sell at once. so if you sell 64 items for somthing then you can only add 64 items at a time. (This also means that if you sell things at larger amounts than a stack then you can't refill the sign with right clicking)
