-1 Camping is a bonding experience between father and son. It keeps that father to son bonding experience that all families desire, need, and eventually have. It really helps the child to know his father and camping is just one of the many ways of getting there. The enjoyment of camping is also spectacular! Roasting marshmallows and fishing are just relaxing, don't you think? Kicking players from the match just so that the game can go on shorter is just blasphemy. Some people like to camp, others like to kill hopeless builders to earn a profit. Whatever you like to do, all people have a fighting style and a way to play, and doing puts more advantage on one side. I might budge if it was 15 minutes.
-1. I'm not getting much of a strong argument from the + side so far. "Campers are annoying" is kinda just part of the game of SG. "People go inactive ingame" - If you really can't find the person and are convinced they are afk, you have other options: (1) Use entity radar and go around and find them or some other player, (2) Screw it and do /sg leave, or (3) Contribute to the ever-growing problem of kits ( -_- ) and buy /kit hunter.
I think you don't understand, the 5 minute timer will only begin if you are completely still, meaning you would have to be completely away from your keyboard and mouse for 5 minutes to be kicked. For maps like sg 1 you have to travel across water for most camping spots which could take hours and also, no one would want to Sg leave for instance if it was a huge game and it has a nice reward and /kit hunter is a good point however this suggestion is still valid, kit hunter should be used to find campers not people who are completely inactive in a game meaning away from their keyboard and mouse. I appericate these ideas though, thank you for your comment, it's always best to look at both sides.
You can always just ask a mod if someone is camping and they can take administrative action from there.
Unlike most suggestions like this I'll +1 this one. Though I think you're misusing the word 'camping' in the OP - this is just flat going afk which isn't allowed. Seeing as we'd just kick the players anyway if they are afk, there aren't really any issues.
Woopsie doodles! Looked up that word, came up with a few options... hmph. Edited out! But it does mean slavery; in more ways than one. (But it was not a typo)
